Starline car alarm operating instructions. "Starline A9": programming the key fob. Car alarm "Starline A9": instruction manual

Car owners try to protect their vehicle from break-ins or theft. For this purpose today they use various systems alarms. One of best options security equipment today it is considered "Starline". When developing this car alarm, the creators used the latest developments in the field of signal transmission. Special encoding almost completely eliminates the possibility of intelligent hacking. The dialogue message of the system with the control panel (key fob) allows the driver to fully use the functions included in the device by the manufacturer.

How to set up the Starline alarm system is described in detail in the instructions. The driver should familiarize himself with its main functions. Only after carefully studying the user manual will the car owner be able to fully operate high-tech equipment.

general characteristics

The Starline A91 car alarm is a dialogue message system. Radio control is performed using unique coding, which eliminates the possibility of hacking. The system has more than 60 functions. The ability to autostart and warm up the car engine significantly increases comfort.

The communication signal range reaches 2 km in open areas. If there are obstacles in the signal path, this figure is reduced to 600 m. At the same time, the level of interference is significantly reduced due to the use of a transceiver with 128 radio transmission channels.

The operating instructions for the Starline alarm system must be carefully studied by the owner vehicle. This guarantees that the system will function normally and its management will be comfortable.

"Starline A9" is used at temperatures from -45 to +85 ºС. This is a high-quality, durable car alarm that is relatively inexpensive.

Technical requirements

The Starline A91 alarm system can be installed in cars with a diesel, turbocharged or gasoline engine. It is compatible with both automatic and manual transmissions. The equipment requires a 12 V battery.

It is recommended to install the central alarm unit under dashboard. In this case, the length of the connecting wires will be minimal. The block should be firmly secured to flat surface. The wires must be approached in such a way as to prevent drops of water from entering the device (they can flow down the conductors).

The transceiver with antenna must be installed at a distance of at least 5 cm from metal parts body Most often they are mounted on the windshield or under the dashboard. For the system to work correctly and be reliable, it is better to entrust its installation to professionals.

Keychain

The Starline alarm system, the factory settings of which can be changed according to your own needs, is controlled using key fobs. The set includes 2 remote controls. The first key fob has an LCD display, and the second one has only buttons. The interface has been translated into Russian for the convenience of domestic users. This facilitates operation and makes the dialog message intuitive.

Up to 4 key fobs can be stored in the system memory. The delivery set also includes a cover for the control panel.

The key fob allows you to control and program all alarm functions. The most popular commands are arming and disarming, autostarting the engine or activating it using a timer.

The Starline A91 alarm system, the key fob of which is configured by the user, has many programs that are necessary for comfortable use.

Setting up the key fob

All key fobs are registered in the alarm memory in one setting. There is a special procedure for this. The car security mode must be turned off. You need to find the Valet button. We press it 7 times.

After this, turn on the ignition. 7 beeps will sound. This means that the system has entered the mode of binding key fobs to the control unit. Most often, this is necessary if the control panels for some reason do not communicate with the central control device or the driver bought a used car. In this case, the Starline alarm is re-programmed. The settings are reset automatically. The user can do this remotely if desired.

On the key fob there are buttons II and III. They are clamped at the same time. A signal will sound indicating that the key fob is activated. The same manipulations are performed with the remaining remote controls.

Setting the time

After linking the key fobs to the control unit, you can begin to use them. First of all, you should set the time. This procedure is performed exclusively using the key fob. There is a specific algorithm for this, prescribed in the instructions.

The Starline alarm, the setting of time and other functions of which is clearly explained by the manufacturer, is considered one of the simplest in the field of programming. To set the time, you need to hold down button III. The clock icon on the display will flash. To decrease the readings, press the I button, and to increase the readings, press the II button. Then the minutes are adjusted. To do this, press button III again. Setting the time will allow you to subsequently set a timer, autorun and other functions.

Engine starting programs

Instructions for setting up the Starline alarm system allow you to set the necessary functions when starting the engine. Using the key fob, you can remotely turn on the car engine, as well as extend its operation. It is very comfortable. In the morning, you can drink a cup of coffee at home while the car warms up.

In addition, the engine can be turned on using a timer or alarm clock. The driver has the opportunity to set autostart parameters independently. The engine will turn on once a day or after a certain amount of time (2, 3, 4 hours).

A motor control function is provided. To do this, the system tests the signals of the generator, tachometer, as well as voltage changes in electrical system auto. The key fob displays information about the duration of engine operation. When enabling the autostart functions, the driver must comply with all safety requirements.

Safety

The operating instructions for the Starline alarm indicate a number of requirements. The driver must comply with them fully. This will ensure complete safety of the car, as well as avoid accidents and troubles.

You need to park your car in an open, clearly visible area. At the same time, do not forget to turn on the handbrake. The automatic transmission lever must be set to the PARK position, and the mechanics - to neutral mode.

Do not start the engine automatically if there are people in front or behind the vehicle. It is unacceptable to leave the key fob in an easily accessible place where it can be reached by children or untrained persons. All vehicle systems must be in good working order, have sufficient fuel and Supplies.

Service functions

Setting up the Starline alarm system allows you to use many service functions. The user selects the most suitable programs for himself. The most popular are the following modes.

If the driver installs the silent security function, if his vehicle is encroached upon, the siren will not go off, but the relevant information will be sent to the key fob. This will allow you to catch the attacker red-handed. You can also configure silent exit and entry into security mode.

You can program a function where, if accidentally turned off, the system automatically returns to its previous mode. You can also control lighting, ventilation and heating. Their automatic operation is configured.

The key fob buttons can be locked to prevent them from being pressed accidentally. One of required functions is the location of the vehicle. You can also remotely erase lost key fobs from the alarm memory. There are many programs that increase comfort and safety.

Malfunctions

Configuring the Starline alarm system, done properly, allows the system to perform its assigned functions to the fullest. However, there are several types of malfunctions that can occur during operation of the alarm.

Most often, drivers note its false alarm. In this case, you need to correctly configure the sensitivity sensor of the control unit. It may be set to the maximum position or the sensor may not be mounted correctly.

It also happens that the control unit does not respond to key fob signals. They need to be linked to the system again. Perhaps the battery in the key fob is dead. Sometimes you need to purchase a new remote control.

It happens much less often that the alarm does not close door locks. In this case, the malfunction can only be repaired by a specialist.

Having examined how the Starline alarm is configured, the driver will be able to fully use all its functions. By following the instructions, the car owner will ensure the reliability and stability of the system.

Every year, new car alarm models appear on the market, radically different from previous models in terms of internal functionality. The StarLine A9 product, which has new software settings and additional options, was no exception.

How to protect your car from theft? Today, this question worries every car enthusiast, and therefore the range of security systems offered to help him is constantly expanding. What to bet on? Attractive characteristics or at a budget price? The Starline A9 alarm system saves the car owner from making a decision (it successfully combines both the first and the second).

100% protection

The car security system of this model is rightfully considered one of the best. And there is a reason for this: a high degree of protection. This enviable security is due to two factors:

  1. Complex original encryption principle. It is this that is the basis of dynamic code, which is reliably protected from interception. It is almost impossible to crack an individual cipher (but the manufacturer decided to play it safe and enhance the effect with the help of a non-standard solution).
  2. Extraordinary innovative approach . This car alarm model also successfully applies the principle of zoning. Each individual area is protected (engine engine, parking brake, hood, doors, trunk, windows, ignition switch). And a specific device (switch, sensor, relay) is responsible for this. All information about an attempt to break into or cause harm is displayed on the alarm key fob. Alarm signals are activated when any of the above zones is affected.

Impeccable work protective functions is also due to the fact that the state of all elements of the system is constantly under control. The failure of one of them is diagnosed by the device itself in a matter of seconds (the car owner learns about existing problem immediately after their discovery). This option (self-diagnosis) completely eliminates any risks (provided that the car owner takes timely measures necessary measures to eliminate them).

Luxury comfort

Another advantage alarm system starline a9 lies in her ability to combine business with pleasure. It is replete with options that make life much easier for the car owner and significantly increase the degree of comfort during operation of the vehicle. Such noteworthy functions of this security system model include:

  1. Autorun. Starts the engine at a certain time (the setting can be made in three directions: depending on temperature regime, wait timer, alarm time)
  2. Anti-robbery mode. It is triggered when, after opening the driver's door, confirmation of the owner's indication code is not received; after a specified number of meters, the system blocks engine operation.
  3. Immobilizer mode. Relevant for those who forget to press the buttons on the key fob step by step; it is activated after 30 seconds of inactivity on the part of the driver (it blocks the engine half a minute after turning off the ignition).
  4. Gsm starline module. Allows you to control the alarm from your mobile device, as well as receive messages about the system status to it.
  5. Indication. The alarm key fob can replace a clock, an alarm clock, and a timer; it will also inform you about the operating time of the engine (a motorist may also need such information).

These are not all the capabilities of this model; the table shows only the most popular ones.

The energy efficiency is also impressive. Situations when the key fob does not respond to the commands of its owner are most often associated with wear and tear of its power elements; in the Star Line A9 control panel, the batteries last for at least 2 months (usually up to six months).

Installation without problems

Car alarms of this brand and model are also good because they can be installed independently. This process can be described as complex and simple at the same time. The difficulty lies in the fact that it involves a large amount of work that must be performed in accordance with a strict algorithm of actions, including:

  • location and fixation of system elements(recommendations: it is advisable to mount the central unit under the dashboard, the transceiver module on the windshield, a shock sensor anywhere in the cabin, an LED indicator near the instruments, temperature remote sensor on the motor body, siren in engine compartment with the horn facing downwards away from highly heated internal combustion engine parts);
  • connection diagrams(laying wires, installing electrical wiring connections, connecting the circuit responsible for the operation of sound and lighting equipment, auto-start systems, door activator, locking system, engine blocking, monitoring engine operation using one of the options: tachometer, on-board voltage, generator).

The ease of installation of Starline A9 lies in the fact that the instruction manual, included with each sold product of this type, gives a clear, detailed idea of everything related to its installation. In it you can also find a description of the reasons that could lead to incorrect, unstable operation of the installed security system (errors made during the installation process).

Effortless setup

Without exception, all owners of cars that have an alarm system of this model are interested in two important questions: how to link the key fob to the system and how to configure the necessary parameters for each of the modes offered by the manufacturer. To help the car enthusiast detailed instructions, concerning points of interest to him:

  1. Keychain binding. We act step by step:
    • start the car;
    • press the “Valet” button(hold it until 4 beeps appear);
    • simultaneously press buttons 1 and 2, release after 1 sound signal(for programming a key fob with an LCD display - the main control panel);
    • simultaneously press buttons 3 and 4(relevant for recording additional key fobs).
  2. Parameter programming. We follow the following algorithm of actions:
    • press the service button 6 times with the ignition on(wait for the system response: 6 LED flashes + 6 sound signals);
    • press the “Valet” button several times(before reaching a certain function);
    • select the desired value, confirm the action with either a short or long press on buttons 1 and 2 (half a second or 30 seconds);
    • back to the start by pressing the service button;
    • repeat the steps for all functions, requiring special settings different from the factory settings;
    • exit programming mode(turn off and turn on the ignition again or wait for automatic shutdown, accompanied by 5 flashes of the side lights).

Convenient control

In order to competently drive a car security complex called Starline a9, you do not need to have any special education. The LCD keychain is a kind of picture book, you just need to choose the right picture. Another thing is the additional control panel (the keypad can be confusing). However, the operating instructions and instructions included in the alarm kit quick guide on application will simplify the task for the car enthusiast. These media vital information will help you find answers to all your questions. Everything is here: connection diagrams, installation maps, methods for linking and setting up the control panel (key fob), methods for programming options and parameters, and even a list possible malfunctions and methods for eliminating them.
