How to make your own machines and devices for your home workshop. Making homemade products for the garage Tools and accessories for the garage

For the rational use of space, communications and do-it-yourself garage accessories from scrap materials are used. It is necessary to use walls and an underground level in the process, place machines inside the room, and organize normal lighting.

Homemade gadgets for the garage

For comfortable operation of a room intended for car storage, you should adhere to certain recommendations:

  • the tool must be as accessible as possible;
  • storage spaces equipped with shelves/racks are much more convenient;
  • workbenches, inspection pits, homemade machines and do-it-yourself garage accessories expand the capabilities of the car owner;
  • the cellar allows you to save space;
  • The productivity of work and minor repairs depends on the quality of lighting.

Organization of work space inside the garage

Depending on the dimensions of the building, the area occupied by equipment, fixtures, and communications should not be more than 10–20% of the size of the garage floor.

Storage areas, racks, workbenches

In 80% of cases, do-it-yourself garage fixtures are built to store accessories, tools, and vehicle equipment. It should be taken into account that the most bulky parts of the car are sets of winter/summer tires, depending on the season.

Tire storage rules

It is more convenient to store wheels on brackets of the following design:

  • two triangular frames from a corner, connected by jumpers from any rolled metal;
  • triangles are attached to the wall, wheels are installed perpendicularly load-bearing structure, slightly falling between the jumpers.

Wheel storage brackets

This is the most economical option storing tires in the off-season. The most popular among car enthusiasts are straight and corner workbenches. The lower space is usually filled with shelves or drawers; sharpening machines, vice.

Homemade garage workbench

An example of organizing a corner workplace

A folding workbench can be very convenient

Wood is a universal material for both workbenches and shelving

It’s easier to build a wooden workbench yourself, but it has a shorter lifespan than its rolled metal counterpart, which needs to be welded. If corners for shelves are not built into the load-bearing walls during construction, it is easier to make racks from rolled metal or lumber.

Homemade garage shelving

Use for glass bottle racks

Built-in wardrobes are very compact

Original hanging shelves are suitable for storing long items

The design and arrangement of shelving inside each garage is too individual to follow general recommendations.

Inspection pit and cellar

A necessary accessory for a DIY garage is an inspection hole. Moreover, the owner does not have to carry out all the repairs himself. Underground communications can be used in the following cases:

  • inspection of the chassis, steering, and brake systems before a long trip;
  • oil change, which allows you to save money and does not take much time;
  • minor repairs that can be carried out by the owner's qualifications.

Inspection hole in the garage

It is more convenient to make the entrance to the cellar from a hole, as this will allow you to concrete several steps instead of using an extension ladder.

Cellar under the garage

The main nuances of these designs are:

  • swelling clay soils harmful to underground structures;
  • therefore, all elements of the pit and cellar are insulated from the outside with expanded polystyrene;
  • sand or crushed stone is used in the underlying layer before concreting and backfilling of the pit sinuses;
  • Drains are laid along the perimeter of underground structures at the base level to collect and drain water.

The width of the pit should allow the driver to enter it without lighting.

Lighting and ventilation

More often used in garages parallel circuits lighting fixtures. One lamp allows you to use a specific area, several devices are turned on during a major renovation or a visit to the cellar. Minimum power consumption is ensured LED lamps. Daylighting devices have a great resource.

Cars use toxic, harmful fuels and lubricants, so do-it-yourself garage ventilation devices that allow you to create air exchange are becoming relevant. The influx is organized from below:

  • garage - vents in the masonry, protected by bars;
  • cellar - pipe from the garage or from the street.

Ventilation of the garage and cellar underneath

The hood is mounted under the ceiling of the cellar, the roof of the garage, or has the form of vents in the main walls at the highest points.

Homemade machines

From power tools you can assemble homemade machines and accessories for the garage:

  • drilling - a drill fixed with clamps in a device that moves with a gear along a rack;

  • cutting - an angle grinder clamped in a similar way with equipment for metal or wood;

Angle grinder cutting machine

  • wood lathe - the front headstock is made of a drill, the back headstock is made of a chuck, mounted on a frame made of a square pipe.

Drill lathe

The advantage of the machines is more accurate positioning of the equipment relative to the workpiece. The equipment turns out to be dismountable, the drill and angle grinder can be removed and used for their intended purpose.

Hydropress

The simplest design of a hydraulic press is obtained from a car hydraulic jack. To press out/press in bearings and press/compress parts, you will need to build a frame and a removable movable stop. The frame consists of 4 channels welded to each other. At the top, the structure is reinforced with stiffening ribs (kerchiefs), and at the bottom, transverse corners are added, giving the frame stability.

Do-it-yourself hydraulic press from a jack

The stop is pulled up in the normal position to top crossbar frames with powerful springs. A hydraulic jack is installed between them, pressing the stop against the lower crossbar of the frame as necessary. The press force is regulated by a jack, the dimensions of the working area are selected depending on the size of the workpieces.

Interesting DIY projects for the garage

Over time, a finished “motorhome” acquires a large number of tools. Conventional homemade products for the garage bring practical benefits without overpayments. Any machines made by yourself will not be inferior in quality to their factory counterparts. Let's look at some devices.

Knife sharpening device

Thus, the useful device receives a hole for the rod in the bolt. The rod is made by hand from thin wire. The carving is made taking into account the length of the sharpening bars.

The bar clamp can be created from:

  • organic glass;
  • ebonite;
  • saw clamp.

The upper part of the plate acts as a clamp. The surface with two drilled holes is applied to the frame. Then, closer to the knife, the general through hole. The thread is cut in the frame.

So, the homemade do-it-yourself device is almost ready. The second hole is made only on the plate away from the knife. Then cut a thread for the bolt (needed for tightening). A simple homemade mechanism for the garage allows you to sharpen knives on the go.

The artificial diamond stone is affordable and very wear-resistant.

Pulley for adjusting the speed and load on the machine motor

  • metal;
  • PCB;
  • plywood (something between wood and metal).

One small and two larger circles are cut out in plywood with a jigsaw. The center of the molds must correspond to the diameter of the shaft. To avoid problems with further manipulations, the circles are glued together or seated on a screw and tightened with a nut.

The parts of the useful device are tightened with screws. Then the pulley should be processed with sandpaper or a file, placing the structure on the drill chuck. The finished machine fragment can be additionally polished.

  1. Avoid vibration, make sure that the center of gravity is on the axis of rotation.
  2. You can make a toothed pulley. Small channels are made at the central circle before all stages of assembly.
  3. If necessary, a small pulley is made from a thick piece of plywood (one circle). A groove is made in the mold and the part is placed on a screw. A narrow file is applied to the rotating circle.

Do-it-yourself vacuum molding of sheet plastic

  • top and bottom frames;
  • molding plastic;
  • coupling bolts;
  • perforated MDF;
  • opening for the vacuum chamber;
  • plywood base with a hole in the middle.

A hole is made in a piece of MDF or plywood (50 by 50 cm) for a PVC pipe with a three-inch diameter. A frame of beams (30 by 30 cm) is attached to the resulting base with glue. To achieve tightness, all cavities are sealed with sealant.

edge water pipe one end is glued to the base, and the other is connected to the vacuum cleaner hose. The entire structure stands on legs.

Certain holes are cut in the upper and lower frames to accommodate the vacuum chamber frame (firmly glued to the base). Along the perimeter of the frame, cavities for fastening elements are made at equal distances.

Types of thermoplastic plastic used:

DIY jigsaw

  1. A steel square with a bolt soldered into it is made with your own hands as a file holder block.
  2. The improved block is soldered to the previous saw holder.
  3. Attention is paid to the desktop. Plywood is chosen as the base. The narrow table area is the same size as a jigsaw.
  4. Furniture legs are mounted in the front plane of the table, and a small wooden stand is fixed to the rear plane of the working area.
  5. To create leverage, use only hard wood.
  6. The lever hole must be created slightly larger than the diameter of the pin (it regulates the spring tension).

Described homemade craft should stand on a “sole” that will not interfere with the work process. If necessary, a corner is cut in the area of the base plate.

Do-it-yourself set of cutters for artistic turning

A semicircular grooved chisel-cutter is used for rough turning. The part is made from strips of tool steel.

A universal cutting device used for finishing parts. The tool is made from standard straight chisels.

Shaped cutters:

    chisel scraper.

a tool based on a straight chisel with one-sided sharpening levels the surface of cylindrical workpieces;

a homemade device helps to fill threads and apply decorative marks to a wooden rod.

Cutting tools for soft wood (aspen, linden) have a smaller sharpening angle compared to the sharpening angle of a device for processing boxwood, oak, and birch.

Homemade extension cord with two sockets

The “branded” extension cord reel is made from two plywood disks that are bolted together. The fragments are separated by a duralumin tube and washers.

On one side of the reel, the bolts are recessed to ensure contact with the handle without injury. On the other side, two holes for sockets are drilled at a certain distance. Socket boxes are attached with screws.

Proper storage and use of the tool

Each pipe is attached to a plywood plate with self-tapping screws through a slot. To prevent the pipe fragment from becoming loose during operation, pieces of glazing beads are glued under the sides of the holder with PVA glue.

When it is necessary to hang the holder on the garage wall, the handle is inserted into the holder tube. The handle post fits tightly into the slot and is fixed. With this additional equipment, the reel is mounted on the ceiling or on the bottom of the shelves.

In order for the extension ram to rotate easily, a small handle is mounted on the edge of the device disk, which consists of tubular sections various diameters. A larger diameter pipe is placed on a smaller hose and firmly fixed with a flat screw.

DIY crafts for the garage: the best ideas with photos

Useful homemade products for the garage with your own hands

Most often, during the initial arrangement, all the necessary furniture is ordered. But if you rent a room or don’t want to take money out of it family budget, then you will be able to set up your home on your own, especially if you know how to hold basic tools in your hands. To help yourself and for inspiration, you can use the video from homemade products for the garage with your own hands (YouTube can please you with a variety of ideas), and you can also take into account tips on arrangement, which will be the basis for a successful layout.

If you look at the photo that shows the optimal set of useful furniture elements, you will notice useful nuances for yourself. First, the location of any storage system must be located at a certain distance from the walls. It is believed that there should be at least half a meter between the machine standing indoors and the rack for normal, comfortable work inside. If the shape of your car storage is more like a rectangle rather than a square (this happens quite often), then it is worth moving all the storage for tools and useful things to one area along the far wall opposite the door. It is here that you can place with maximum convenience not only a table or shelving, but even carpentry or lathe. It would be worth mentioning that all storage of your tools should be located inside the garage only if it is securely closed or is protected by a tightly closed gate in the country. Otherwise, it is better to place there only the most necessary things, preferably those that are not of particular value to robbers.

If you plan to install windows yourself in a separate room, which is located on the territory of your suburban area, then it’s better to make them the so-called attic type, that is, located in the roof, and choose a place just above such a working area. In summer and spring, this arrangement of windows will help you save on lighting, sunlight will be quite enough for all types of work, besides, you will also be able to ventilate the room, because ventilation cannot always cope properly, especially if you are going to work inside, like in a workshop.

If you have a total shortage of money or out of love for art, you can make an original storage system using old empty cans. Any motorist accumulates quite a lot of them over the course of a year, and if you ask your fellow neighbors, there will be enough for each compartment of such an interesting cabinet. Of course, there is nothing complicated here and to perform such homemade garage DIY video-lessons are not needed at all. You need to take a plastic canister and wash it well so that no traces of its contents remain. Armed with metal scissors, a knife or other tool, we cut off the front cover of the canister, but so that the sides remain and the contents do not fall over the edge. To make the structure more stable, you can fix it on the back wall using self-tapping screws, but we will, of course, drive them not into the wall, but into a wooden strip, which we attach with dowels.

Do-it-yourself garage crafts photo

The same option as shown in the photo can be used in homemade projects for the dacha, where you also often need to set up a workshop, and even less space is allocated for it than is left in the garage. For such a design, you will need to build a frame from wooden boards, and make notches along its upper and lower edges where the cells will be inserted. Most likely, the inspiration for this design was the classic hives that are used for breeding bees; the system here is exactly the same. The sheets that are inserted inside have a perforated surface and the presence of these small holes will allow you to screw nails inside, hang hooks to hang tools and useful devices as conveniently as possible so that they do not fly off when pulling out and retracting.

Exactly the same perforation can be included in a furniture set. Having such a complete set of everything necessary for home handyman, you can build many useful homemade products for the garage with your own hands, video with whom you are online. In popularity, such resources may soon overtake popular hand-made projects, because men, no less than women, want to make the space around them, their kingdom, beautiful, functional, and comfortable.

Interesting DIY crafts for the garage

We are used to either simply throwing away tires that are completely worn out, or making crafts from tires for the garden with our own hands. Having spent the last winter set on a swan or a flowerpot, this year you can easily allocate it to your loved one by making a whole furniture set. Frankly speaking, for this purpose you will need not only car tires, but also bicycle tires, because their backs can be designed, turning the stool into a chair.

Practice making such furniture and soon you will be able to replace yours. Coffee table on such a table in the living room with your own hands, crafts made from tires not only look beautiful, but can also become part of the original design concept.

A table and chairs are great; there will be somewhere to sit, but with the question of what to cook a delicious kebab on, our next idea will help. The fact is that an ordinary folding barbecue may not maintain the required temperature of the coals for a long time, and if you like to sit near the fire for a long time, you should make something larger. We will slightly modernize crafts made from wheels for the garden and present to your attention a barbecue made on the basis of a wheel rim. In order for the rim to maintain the set temperature well and not allow the coals to cool, it needs to be lined with bricks, but for maximum decorativeness of such a homemade product, it is better to file them a little using a grinder to fold them in a circle. The bottom must be filled with any available material, which does not support combustion, for example, fine crushed stone.

Homemade products for the garage with your own hands drawings

If you plan to spend quite a lot of time in your makeshift workshop, then among those you are interested in DIY DIY for the garage - heating, lighting, ventilation, that is, arranging a complete comfortable stay inside long time. Some people prefer to install infrared heaters, but from the point of view of the cost of electricity this will not be a very rational option. A good option might be water heating, but it is best designed in garages that are located next to a residential building.

You can place solid fuel boilers of any design inside any type of garage, even make your own potbelly stove out of metal using a welding machine. But do not forget that with this type of heating, the interior decoration must be made of non-combustible materials, and the ventilation must be done efficiently, even at the stage when we are building the roof with our own hands, in order to promptly remove all combustion products from the room.

DIY homemade machines for the garage

If you have a need for some specific work, then you can use special machines, for example, a pipe bending machine, which can be useful not only for motorists, but also for motorcycle owners.

DIY Garage Tools – Turn your camper into a home workshop!

Required tools and materials

Any car enthusiast can make a variety of garage accessories with his own hands, using inexpensive materials and the simplest tools. Such homemade crafts by a home craftsman turn a motorhome into a full-fledged workshop.

Garage workbench – it’s hard to live without it!

If you plan to do your own maintenance in the garage vehicle, as well as carry out a variety of repair work and make your own crafts, it will be difficult to do without a workbench. It is usually made from wooden planks that are mounted on solid foundation(profiled metal pipe or thick wooden beam).

It is also possible to make a desktop from metal blanks. They are easy to cut to the required sizes and assembled into one durable structure using steel corners and hardware (universal screws, screw connections, bolts, etc.) or using a welding machine.

The manufacture of a wooden or metal workbench always begins with drawing up a detailed design drawing. You must correctly assess the workspace of your garage and fit the desktop into it as harmoniously as possible. It is advisable to provide shelves and drawers (pull-out) on the workbench. They will allow you to keep all kinds of tools at hand. It is recommended to install a small vice on the tabletop.

Making a metal workbench

If your garage has shelves or racks (or you want to mount them), experts advise installing a workbench next to them.

Then you will get excellent work area, where you can engage in any kind of home creativity, producing original and useful homemade products for the home.

  1. Assemble a tabletop from boards with geometric parameters suitable for you (for example, 200 by 10 by 5 cm), connecting wooden products together with metal ties and good glue. For a standard workbench suitable for any garage, it is enough to take 20 of these boards.
  2. Make special grooves on the tabletop (on the 5th and 16th boards) for the stops. The parameters of the grooves are 2.5 by 2.5 cm.
  3. After the glue has dried, the tabletop must be planed so that a perfectly flat working surface is obtained.
  4. Use 80 x 10 x 10 cm bars to make legs for the workbench. Grooves should be provided in the front supports. You will insert brackets into them, which you will then connect to the beam (longitudinal).
  5. Assemble the base of the table from two frames made of 10 x 5 cm boards and fix it to the support. The frames are cut into the legs of the workbench by about 2.5 cm, and then they are secured with bolts.
  6. Attach the supporting walls (back and side) to the resulting structure. They can be made from centimeter plywood or chipboard sheets.

Now you need to connect the top frame to the tabletop. This operation can be carried out without problems using bolts. Do not forget to apply drying oil to the done wooden workbench and coat it with varnish. On such a table you will make any crafts with special pleasure!

A shelving unit is a must for the garage!

Over time, any vehicle owner’s motorhome turns into a kind of warehouse where a variety of items and tools are stored. They all need to find a convenient place so that each device is easy to find. A self-made rack allows you to efficiently organize the storage of tools.

You can make such a structure from metal and wood. In the latter case, use solid wood - beech or oak. Shelves and drawers made from them can withstand quite serious loads. Rack by accepted standards must maintain a pressure of at least 150–160 kg. At the same time, it is not recommended to load home-made structures with things that generally weigh more than 500 kg.

Wooden shelving

Let's see how you can quickly make a garage shelving unit while spending a minimum of money on purchasing materials. The work flow diagram is as follows:

  1. Take a board 9 cm wide and cut it into pieces of different sizes (18–30 cm). We will use these pieces as supports for the rack.
  2. Make the shelves from a thicker board - 19 cm thick. To do this, you will need to cut it into pieces of the required length.
  3. Mark the board for the base of the structure, indicating on it the locations of the spacers (they are usually spaced 2.5–3 cm from the edge of the base). Now you need to attach (it is advisable to use construction adhesive) the top spacer and nail the top shelf of the rack to it (with regular nails of suitable sizes). Then repeat these manipulations with other shelves and spacers. Lastly, the lower expansion element is attached.
  4. Turn over the assembled structure, tighten the base of the rack with spacers using screws.

Storage facility various instruments and things are almost ready. You just need to sand the rack and then apply it to the wood. oil varnish(it’s better to make two layers), and then attach the homemade structure to the wall with anchor screws. The places where the rack is attached to the wall are under the lowest and highest shelves.

Useful technical homemade products for the garage - a press and a cyclone vacuum cleaner

A homemade clamping device, which is sometimes impossible to do without in home-made projects, is very simple to make. You will need:

  • hydraulic jack;
  • metal platform bed;
  • profile pipes with a cross section of 6x6 and 4x4 centimeters (two pieces of each will be required).

The press is done this way:

  1. Attach two vertical guides (4 by 4 cm pipes) to the base of the structure.
  2. Weld between them (at the very top) a piece of pipe 6 by 6 cm.
  3. Install another 6 by 6 cm pipe so that it moves without difficulty along the mounted guides.

Homemade garage press

Using this technical homemade elementary - place the products you want to connect on the working surface of the press, cover them with a thick plywood sheet, lower the jumper pipe with the jack placed on it. You only need to apply pressure to the jack to glue two products or your own crafts together for centuries.

But with the help of the following homemade product - cyclonic vacuum cleaner, you can always point perfect order in the garage. It is made from thick plastic or (which is better) from a metal container. It must be sealed. The scheme for making a homemade product for effective garbage collection in a motorhome is as follows:

  1. Make two holes in the lid of the container. Place the first one at the edge, the second one in the central part. The diameters of the holes must correspond to the cross-sections of the hoses that you will connect to the device. One hose is connected to the hole from the edge, it is intended for collecting debris, the other is needed to connect a regular vacuum cleaner.
  2. In the inlet pipe of the described homemade product you need to install a plastic elbow. It will ensure the process of swirling (cyclone) air in the tank. Due to this elbow, the effectiveness of such a homemade product increases, which easily and quickly absorbs small stones, lumps of dirt, sawdust and other solid contaminants. All of them will collect in the tank that you connected to the vacuum cleaner.

A device for making strong rope from plastic bottles

When heated, the material from which bottles for mineral water and various drinks are made can shrink. This gives us the opportunity to make excellent rope from such containers. With its help, you can very firmly connect various parts and assemblies in a motorhome and in the household in general.

Rope made from a plastic bottle

To make a device for making homemade cords, you need to stock up on two bolts with washers and nuts, metal washers, a piece of thin board or plywood, a utility blade and an electric drill. We make the device like this:

  1. Place two washers in the middle of the board or plywood and mark their centers.
  2. Drill holes in the marked centers with a drill.
  3. Drill holes with reverse side(this is a mandatory procedure to ensure that there is no twisting or rotation when using the device).
  4. Screw in the bolts.

The use of this craft is simple. You need to put several washers on the protruding areas of the bolts (their number determines the thickness of the rope being cut). Then you should place a utility knife on top of the washers (you can even use a piece of it) and strengthen the structure by installing several more washers and tightening the nuts until they stop. After that homemade device must be secured with clamps on a garage workbench or other work surface.

Next we take plastic bottle volume of two liters, cut out the bottom, cut a strip (very small) of the required length and place our “blank” under the knife. You need to pull the tape with one hand, and hold the container being cut with the other. From one 2 liter bottle you will get about 25 linear meters of excellent rope with high shrink characteristics.

#15 Homemade gadgets for the garage

DIY garage accessories

Homemade garage gadgets #tools

The article discusses the most convenient and practical do-it-yourself garage accessories that can improve the operating comfort of this room. Here are detailed recommendations for the development and creation of structures intended for convenient storage tools and car parts, advice on making furniture, as well as arranging lighting and heating systems.

Useful DIY garage gadgets: general recommendations

The garage is intended not only for storage, but also for servicing the car. For this reason, this room must be spacious, clean, comfortable and well-equipped.

To achieve all this, it is enough to take into account the basic requirements regarding the organization of space:

  • The presence of shelves for tires and tool storage significantly saves free space and allows you to optimize space.
  • The quality of lighting has great importance, since not only productivity, but also the quality of minor repair work depends on this.
  • The construction of a garage workbench, machines, inspection pit and other devices expand the range of possibilities of the car owner in relation to vehicle repair and maintenance.

  • Optimal organization of the storage system in the garage: 1 - open brackets and hooks for frequently used tools, 2 - rack for small tools, 3 - shelves for spare parts and tires, 4 - rack for large tools, 5 - cabinets for various things, 6 - workbench with additional shelves

    About 80% of the shelves in the garage are built with your own hands to store garage accessories, namely:

    • tools and additional devices;
    • components for the car;
    • accessories.

    Often in photos of shelves in a garage with your own hands you can see them combined with a rack, which you can also make yourself. Most often, the rack is considered as the main place for storing tools. After its installation, the remaining space is filled with comfortable and spacious shelves.

    Be sure to designate a place where work clothes will be stored. It is not necessary to occupy a large area; you can get by with one shelf or even a hook (depending on your needs).

    A garage is a place where hazardous and flammable substances are stored. These include oil, gasoline, solvents, paints, and polishes. For them, it is necessary to provide a separate cabinet, hang a fire extinguisher and install a sand tank.

    To protect wheels mounted on tire racks from contamination during storage, it is worth purchasing bags big size or specialized covers to prevent dust from entering.

    Brackets and shelves for wheels in the garage: design features

    The most bulky spare parts of a vehicle include sets of tires, which can be winter or summer. When to use winter option, summer tires are usually stored in the garage, and vice versa. Therefore, you should organize tire storage shelves or brackets.

    The design of the bracket is as follows:

  • Two triangular frames made from corners. Between these frames, jumpers made of any durable metal are installed.
  • The triangular parts of the structure are fixed on the wall in a pre-selected location. The wheels should be installed perpendicular to the supporting element of the stand. In this case, the tires should fall slightly between the jumpers, thus being fixed on the shelf due to their own weight.

  • For compact storage of wheels, a whole rack in the form of four can be used. wide shelves. It is suitable for placing wheels with discs, which can be placed one above the other in a horizontal position. The structure can be made angular and raised onto the wall.

    • wooden beam;
    • boards;
    • chipboard sheets.

    Installing tire racks is the most efficient way to store wheels. Greater savings in free space can be achieved by hanging rubber from the ceiling base along the garage wall. This option is possible if the room has a large height and reinforced concrete floors in the form of slabs on the ceiling. They will be used as a basis for screwing in dowels.

    Tool storage: interesting ideas for a DIY garage

    To organize a convenient area for placing things, you can make your own homemade and very spacious rack or shelves. Of course, you can find hundreds of ready-made models in stores, however, making a shelf in the garage with your own hands is much cheaper than purchasing a similar product on the market.

    The same problem applies to shelving. By taking on the task of making your own tool storage space, you can not only organize a convenient and practical rack, but also fit it harmoniously into the garage space.

    Rules for the manufacture of wood products:

  • It is better to use hardwood, for example, beech, oak, hornbeam.
  • Before assembly, it is necessary to treat the wood with antiseptic agents.
  • The frame parts must be carefully polished to ensure safe operation of the rack.
  • To make shelves, it is recommended to use chipboard or plywood sheets, OSB. DVL slabs with a thickness of at least 4 mm are also suitable.
  • The thickness of the material is determined by the loads that will subsequently act on the rack.

    Recommendations for making tool shelves in the garage with your own hands

    Shelves are installed in cases where the garage does not allow for a shelving unit. It is better if there are several designs.

    Scheme for creating shelves for tools:

  • Plan the placement of shelves, determine their size and mark them.
  • Prepare material in the form of boards and fasteners.
  • Using a hammer drill, make holes in the wall and install dowels with hooks in them, which will provide enhanced fixation.
  • Attach hangers equipped with eyelets to the boards. For metal hangers, it is recommended to use self-tapping screws or regular nails.
  • Fix finished products using a building level, otherwise the tool may fall from the shelves, which makes operation unsafe.
  • At the final stage you can do decorative finishing products (paint or special film).

    Technology for creating a tool rack in the garage

    To create a rack with my own hands You will need boards 9 and 19 cm wide. The size of the structure can be adjusted.

    Step-by-step technology:

  • An element 9 cm wide is cut into several pieces 18 cm, 27.5 cm and 30 cm long. The resulting parts will be spacers.
  • The board, the width of which is 19 cm, should be cut into pieces 36 cm long. Shelves will be made from these parts.
  • On the board that will become the base of the product, it is necessary to apply markings in those places where there will be spacers. It is recommended to indent 2.5 cm on each side.
  • The top spacer is glued, then the top shelf, which already has a spacer, is nailed to it. The remaining parts are mounted in the same way. Installation of the lower strut is carried out at the end.
  • The structure should be turned over and the spacers should be screwed together with the base of the product.
  • The surface is thoroughly cleaned using sandpaper. After this, the product must be coated with two layers of oil-based varnish or another type of finishing.
  • The structure is fixed to the wall using anchor screws. Fixation should be done both under the top and bottom shelves.

  • Organization of lighting and heating systems in the garage

    To make the operation of the garage comfortable, the lighting, ventilation and heating systems in the room should be properly organized. Since cars are closely associated with the use of toxic and harmful substances, the problem of ventilation in confined spaces is particularly acute. For a garage, vents are suitable for brickwork. They are equipped with grilles.

    Factors affecting lighting levels:

    • garage area, its height;
    • the number and nature of the placement of work areas (sizes of a workbench for a garage, inspection pit, number of machines);
    • type of decoration on the walls, its colors;
    • indicator of network power density per 1 m?;
    • type of garage lights.

    For supporting optimal temperature can be used different kinds heating:

    • gas;
    • based on used oil;
    • air;
    • electric (infrared heater for the garage);
    • oven;
    • water;
    • solid fuel.

    There are many alternative ways to organize your own heating system.

    Features of halogen, fluorescent and LED garage lights

    The technical characteristics of halogen lamps are in many ways similar to incandescent lamps, but their bulb is filled with bromine vapor, so the products emit more light. The advantages of such lamps include a long service life - 4 thousand hours.

    Fluorescent lamps are filled with inert gases inside. The inside of the flask is coated with a specialized composition that emits ultraviolet light under the influence of an arc-type discharge. Recommended models include IP-65 class products, protected from moisture and dust particles.

    Installing LED garage lighting comes with the highest costs. However, they pay for themselves in 50 thousand working hours. In terms of efficiency, LEDs are 50% more profitable fluorescent lamps. However, they do not include harmful components, and the light does not have an aggressive effect on the eyes, so there is no need to purchase additional lampshades.

    Installing lighting in a garage: how to calculate

    To calculate the power of conventional lamps, you can use the formula:

    P = S x W/N.

    Explanation of values:

    • P – total required power, W/m?.
    • W – power of one lamp, W.
    • N – number of lamps (luminaires), pcs.
    • S – room area, m?.

    For halogen and LED lamps, the optimal indicator is 16-20 W/m?. This value is suitable for rooms where the ceiling height is no more than 2.5 m. In garages with 3-meter ceilings, this figure should be multiplied by 1.5.

    The calculation is influenced by the interior decoration of the walls of the room. In dark garages, the lighting should be brighter.

    Light reflection level:

    To illuminate the inspection pit in the garage, it is recommended to use low-power lamps with halogen or LED lamps, since moisture accumulating in this place can cause an electric shock. The devices are mounted on the sides in pre-made recesses.

    Do-it-yourself autonomous lighting system in the garage

    There are a number of principles on the basis of which an autonomous lighting system is implemented:

  • LED strips are mounted inside the lampshades (there are 300 diodes per element).
  • The switch is output strictly to the panel.
  • A suspended ceiling system is used for electrical wiring.
  • The wires are powered by a battery connected to the network via a charger.
  • A multi-level lighting system for a garage is considered the most optimal. It involves installing a large lamp in the middle of the room and installing small lamps in work areas.

    Height calculation for a multi-level system:

    The lamps are installed correctly if the machine does not cast a shadow on either side.

    Which heater to choose for a garage

    Heating of the garage is carried out using small portable devices that can warm the room in short time and further maintain the optimal temperature.

    When thinking about which heaters are best for a garage, many mistakenly believe that homemade device can be made exclusively from expensive components and requires a significant investment of time. For this reason, garage owners refuse this idea.

    In fact, to make a garage heater with your own hands, it is enough to limit yourself to budget materials, for example, thermal film. The scheme for creating such a device is very simple and involves the use of the following materials and tools:

    • a kit intended for assembling a heater;
    • wire equipped with a plug;
    • paper laminated plastic (area of one element 1 m?);
    • graphite powder;
    • epoxy adhesive composition.

    Recommendations for assembling a homemade garage heater

    Step-by-step instructions on how to make a garage heater:

  • A mixture of glue and graphite powder is made. The more powder in the composition, the stronger the heating of the device will be. The average temperature ranges from 60-65°C.
  • Plastic sheets on the rough side are coated with a mixture of glue and graphite, which is applied in zigzag strokes, after which they are fastened with their faces and fixed with a frame made from wooden slats.
  • Terminals are attached to the graphite conductors and the structure is dried. Drying must be complete, otherwise moisture will damage the device.
  • After the heater has dried, the resistance should be checked. A garage heater is considered safe only after this check. Until this point, it is strictly forbidden to connect the device to the electrical network.

    Safety restrictions:

  • It is not recommended to leave the device switched on unattended or near children.
  • It is prohibited to use equipment that can cause a fire.
  • Do not place flammable substances or materials near the device.

  • Making useful gadgets for your garage with your own hands

    To carry out repair and service work, you will need to build an inspection hole in the garage with your own hands, the dimensions of which will correspond to the dimensions of the car, as well as a workbench for comfortable work, plus equip the premises with machines.

    The basic set of tools and materials for creating a homemade garage workbench includes:

    • boards and wooden blocks;
    • fasteners and ties;

    Recommendations for creating a viewing hole in the garage with your own hands

    There are no specific sizes for a garage inspection pit. The dimensions of the car are taken as the basis.

    How to make an inspection hole in a garage with optimal parameters:

  • The width is selected so that there is enough space inside to work. The size is limited by the distance at which the car's wheels are seated. Each wheel needs a small area to maneuver. The average pit width is 0.8 m.
  • The length of the pit is limited by the length of the machine. 1 m should be added to this indicator.
  • The height of the garage owner is used to calculate the depth. Another 10-15 cm is added to it.
  • How to properly make a viewing hole in a garage using different materials:

    The pit is dug taking into account the optimal width of the pit, the material chosen for the walls, as well as the thickness of the waterproofing layer. Stages of creating a pit:

    • marking;
    • construction of a pit;
    • arrangement of the pit;
    • construction of walls;
    • lighting gasket.

    For waterproofing walls, specialized hydrophobic impregnation is used.

    You can do the arrangement of your garage yourself. The list of useful devices does not end there. It can always be supplemented with any interesting ideas. The main thing is that the garage fully meets personal requirements in terms of comfort and convenience.

    There will always be a need for useful garage gadgets. Veda in the garage should have everything for work and comfort. You can make your own accessories for the garage, then their price will be much lower.

    This topic will be our article today. You won’t be able to do everything for the garage with your own hands, but you can do the most necessary things.

    Garage space arrangement

    You don’t just need to buy garage accessories, but first decide what you need and how to properly place it all. After all, very often the garage is not just a place where we park the car, but also a workshop with all kinds of tools (see), accessories.

    And in fact, it turns out that sometimes there are so many things accumulated in the garage that you literally have to squeeze the car between them. To prevent this from happening, we suggest putting things in order in the garage, rationally using all the space, and maybe throwing out some of the unnecessary things.

    Attention: First, let's decide on the devices and equipment that everyone should definitely have in the garage. You can also make accessories for your garage with your own hands, and if that doesn’t work out, you can buy them.

    Lathe You can get by with a small one, with a few functions. You can’t make such a machine yourself, so you’ll have to contact the manufacturer. The price of a Chinese machine varies, starting from 23 thousand rubles. As for domestic production, most often the equipment is assembled at a Russian plant from the same Chinese components.
    Drilling machine An irreplaceable thing - it is used to perform drilling or milling operations with high accuracy. You can assemble such a unit yourself, in which case you will have to buy a stand for a drill, the price of which is around 3 thousand. A fully equipped machine costs from 20 thousand rubles.
    It will be needed when you need to shrink or press out a sleeve, sleeve, or bearing. A hydraulic jack is suitable as a base for the press.
    Grinding machine Grinding machine. This is really the thing about which they say “like having no hands.” It is used to adjust a part to size, sharpen a spatula or knives, and even perform milling operations when using a flexible sleeve for this. Therefore, you should buy a quality sharpener.
    Various jokes All kinds of shelves, racks, drawers - everything that provides rational placement of tools and accessories.

    This list can also be supplemented with welding equipment, a compressor, an angle grinder, a drill, and screwdrivers.

    Deciding on tool storage

    The next step is to think through and organize the correct storage of tools (see) and zoning of the workspace.

    To do this, you should pay attention to the following points:

    Functional and rational use of space Racks, shelves, hooks allow you to conveniently place tools, freeing up space. At the same time, they are easy to do with your own hands, spending a minimum of material and time.
    Storing things It's time to sort the accessories, arrange them according to the level of use. Store frequently used tools in nearby drawers, in the first rows of shelves. For heavy equipment, reserve space on the bottom shelf of the shelving unit.
    Tire space Spare tires can be placed under the ceiling - they are not accessed very often. A device such as a bracket allows you to conveniently store replacement tires. When hung on the walls high above your head, the wheels will not interfere and take up useful space. Plastic bags or special covers allow you to keep the wheels clean and protect them from dust.
    Working surface Usually this is a table or workbench. This design is easy to assemble; just a few boards and bars are enough. A table is a place on which it is convenient to place a vice, as well as a number of other devices. It is best to equip the work surface close to the rack or shelves.
    Lighting issues Special attention should be paid to lighting; its system should be properly organized, namely a system, and not a separate (one) lighting device.
    • It is necessary to provide lighting throughout the entire garage space: the space above the work surface, above the hood of the car, near the shelving and in other important places.
    • So, this will require several lamps and light bulbs. Perfect option– when you can turn on all the light bulbs at the same time, or use them each separately. This can be done using an ordinary double switch.

    Attention: Sockets should be installed near the garage door and directly next to the work desk.

    Contents of clothing It is worth highlighting a corner where the work uniform will be stored. Let it be a shelf, a hook or even a box. Don't forget about work shoes and personal protective equipment.
    Security measures A garage is a place where various chemicals and flammable solutions are present, for example, gasoline, oils, solvents. A separate cabinet or shelf is allocated for them, located near the gate. Fire safety requirements require installing a box filled with sand nearby and placing a fire extinguisher on the wall.

    These are all the points that you should pay attention to when arranging your garage space. Now let's take a closer look homemade devices for the garage. How to make a rack, shelf and workbench with your own hands - below are step-by-step instructions. After all, it’s quite possible to do everything with your own hands.

    How to make a rack

    A tool lying in its place frees up space and ensures ease of use. A rack is an excellent option for placing and storing equipment.

    Of course, you can buy a rack in a store, but making it yourself will save money and time (see). In addition, it will meet all your needs and ideally suit the chosen location.

    So:

    • Wood or metal are good materials for shelving. The design can be made straight or angular. When designing a rack, focus on a load parameter of at least 150 kg. But at the same time, do not overload each individual section; count on a weight of no more than 500 kg.
    • If you choose wood, then choose durable varieties such as oak, hornbeam, and beech. Don't forget to process everything before starting installation. wooden surfaces with a special antiseptic solution. This treatment will allow the structure to last longer due to the protective layer that prevents the effects of moisture and bacteria.

    It would be useful to plan and sand the wooden frame elements:

    • Plywood, chipboard, and fiberboard are suitable for making shelves. The thickness of the slab must be more than 4 mm. The thickness of the slab is influenced by the expected load: a higher degree of load means stronger, thicker material.
    • The shelves can be painted or covered with decorative film. This will make them look more attractive, and it will be easier to remove dirt from the treated surface.

    So let's get to work. You can replace the dimensions given in the instructions with your own.

    We will divide all the work on creating a rack into several sequential operations:

    • We take a board 9 cm wide and cut it into pieces of different lengths. So we will have 30, 27.5, 18 cm pieces. In the future they will serve as spacers.
    • Let's make blanks for the shelves. To do this, take a board, 19 cm wide, and cut it into 36 cm pieces.
    • On the board serving as the base, we place marks for fastening the spacers. We will install them, maintaining a distance of 2.5 cm from each edge of the base. We begin work by gluing the upper spacer. After making sure of its reliability, we nail the top shelf onto it. We perform the same actions with the rest. Thus, we complete the work by securing the lower spacer.
    • We turn the rack over to tighten the spacers and the base of the structure with screws.
    • We process the finished rack and its wooden elements well with sandpaper, after which we apply two layers of varnish. When the impregnation dries, you can improve the appearance of the shelves by gluing decorative film.
    • And on last stage We attach the rack to the wall using anchor screws. We will screw the fasteners under the lower and upper shelves.

    Attention: The given diagram allows you to mount a rack with the required number of sections. At the same time, to strengthen the structure, wooden blocks are placed between the sections. This allows you to evenly distribute the load.

    Making a shelf in the garage

    It will come in handy when there is no space to install a rack, but things need to be stored somehow. Another situation is that shelving has already been installed in the garage, but there is still free space left.

    Attention: The advantage of shelves is that they are easy and quick to make using minimum costs, but at the same time they are very convenient for placing all kinds of accessories.

    The process of making shelves is as follows:

    • We decide on the space for the shelves, their number, and take the necessary measurements.
    • We prepare the material: boards and fasteners.
    • We make markings on the wall for fastenings.
    • Using a hammer drill, we make holes for the fasteners and screw in the dowels. For reliable fixation, it is recommended to use special dowels with hooks.
    • We attach hangers with eyes to the blank shelf or board. In this case, we will fix the metal hangers with self-tapping screws, and if there are none, with nails. We check the distance for the hangers with the markings on the wall.
    • We attach the finished shelf to the wall in the chosen place.

    Attention: Several shelves placed side by side are better than one long one. If a shelf is too long, there is a risk that it will collapse under the weight of the tools on it.

    • To ensure that the shelves are level and positioned strictly horizontally, use a building level in your work, checking it several times.
    • And the last point is finishing the finished shelf. This is an optional condition, but still the appearance plays a role and somewhat enlivens the gloomy atmosphere of the garage.

    DIY workbench

    A comfortable work surface, a workbench, will make work in the garage more comfortable and more productive. A workbench is handy for repairing car parts and performing minor repairs on household items.

    A workbench that you assemble yourself has some advantages over a factory model: it is much cheaper, and besides, the size of the table will ideally suit your needs.

    In order to assemble the workbench, we will prepare necessary materials and tools:

    • Boards, bars;
    • Fastening elements;
    • Wood glue, varnish, drying oil;
    • Screeds;
    • Planer, sandpaper.

    Work plan:

    • Think over the model of the workbench, pay attention to the smallest details. Usually the basis of the structure is the underframe and the tabletop. The product must include a clamping device, or preferably several.
    • Start assembling the tabletop. It is best to make a tabletop using 20 boards, each size 200x10x5 cm. In the fifth and sixteenth boards you need to make grooves for stops. The groove size is 2.5x2.5 cm. Make grooves every 25 cm.

    Attention: The boards are glued together and fastened with metal ties. Before you start joining the boards, you need to plan their surface.

    • Leave the boards until the glue dries completely. Then carefully plan them again so that their surface becomes smooth and flat. After some time, the wood shrinks, so don’t miss this moment - you will need to tighten the nuts on the ties.
    • Prepare the legs for the table. Bars with dimensions of 80x10x10 cm are suitable. Brackets will be inserted into the front supports, so grooves should be made for them. Brackets are needed to connect to the longitudinal beam.
    • Assemble two frames from boards, 10x5 cm. These frames will be the base of the underframe to which the supports are attached. To do this, we use a “spike” type connection. We will mount the frames themselves into the table legs and secure them with bolts. A sheet of plywood, the thickness of which is at least 1 cm, is installed on the lower frame.
    • Make side and back support walls for the table. Take as material Chipboard board or plywood sheet, with a thickness of 1 cm. Attach the resulting blanks to the table. On the left side of the table, install a small cabinet with a door.
    • Connect the tabletop and the upper frame using bolts. It will be more convenient to prepare holes for the bolts in advance. Screw in the bolts until the caps are buried in the wood.
    • Assembling a miter box is a device that helps maintain the required angle during the sawing process. To make a miter box, you will need wooden strips, each 2 cm thick. Secure the finished miter box with stoppers.
    • The last point is to treat the homemade workbench with drying oil and then with varnish. Give the table time to dry, and then feel free to get to work.
    • You can also install a vice on the working surface of the table, circular saw, in general, everything you need in your work.

    Determining storage locations

    Most often, car enthusiasts make their own accessories for the garage space to make it more convenient to place all kinds of tools and accessories for the car.

    Please note: tires take up the most space. And you definitely need to find a good storage place for them. The best solution is to make hanging brackets. To do this you will need two frames from a triangular corner. They are connected to each other by metal jumpers. Then the triangles are fixed on the wall. The tires will be installed perpendicular to the brackets. They should fall a little between the jumpers. An excellent option for rational placement of tires.

    Workbenches, natural wood racks

    Do-it-yourself functional garage accessories can be easily made from natural wood. It is especially good to make racks and workbenches from wood. This is easier than using metal, which will still have to be welded. Please note that it is advisable to treat the wood with a special impregnation to ensure fire safety, since there is always fuel and lubricants in the garage.

    Cellar and inspection hole

    A must have in the garage. And it’s worth working on its arrangement so that later it will be convenient to work on it. technical maintenance and car repairs. The pit is used in the following cases:

    • Drilling machine. It is simply irreplaceable when the need arises for milling and drilling work. You can make it yourself or buy it. The cost of such a machine is affordable.
    • Lathe. It is unlikely that you will be able to do it entirely yourself, but if you have a bed, it is quite feasible.
    • Sharpening machine. With its help, a car enthusiast can sharpen a drill, tools, and adjust parts to size at any time. The optimal solution is to purchase a reliable sharpener. The price will depend on functionality.
    • Hydraulic Press. A car enthusiast can do it with his own hands. As a base you will need a hydraulic jack. The press is indispensable for shrinking, pressing bearings, liners with bushings.

    Boxes, shelves with racks for storing parts, components, tools.

    In addition, of course, compresses and grinders, a welding machine, and drills of different power levels will be useful.

    DIY lathe

    You can even make a lathe with your own hands in the garage. The best solution when sometimes you have to do small turning jobs, but it doesn’t make sense to purchase a specialized table machine. If perfect accuracy is not needed, homemade version quite suitable. So, a chuck from a drill or a spindle from a machine tool is used instead of a spindle.

    The machine with a wooden bed is suitable for processing plastic and wood. But for metal work, the bed must be made of rolled metal.

    Tool storage devices

    Of course, storing all kinds of nuts, bolts and other small parts is especially difficult. Usually they are all in boxes or buckets, representing an assortment. And it’s extremely difficult to find something you need there.

    You should make your own special system for storing all this useful little things. Collect jars from different products. They should be small size. The main thing is that they have durable metal and plastic caps that screw on. All you have to do is attach the lids to the system, and then sort everything neatly into jars. Do you need to take something? Just take and unscrew the cap - the jar will be separated from the general system, its contents will become accessible.

    Very a good option for storing various small metal parts - magnetic containers. They are done simply. You take simple plastic boxes, attach thin magnetic tape in the right place, and fix large metal washers on the bottom of the containers. All! In such a container and the most small elements will never get lost, will always be at hand.

    Garage workbench – it’s hard to live without it!

    Do you already have shelving? Then it is better to install a workbench near them. It's comfortable. Remember simple diagram making a workbench for the garage with your own hands.

    1. First of all, assemble the tabletop, having previously selected the optimal size and geometric shape. Wooden elements need to be connected high-quality glue, metal ties. Usually for the manufacture of a workbench standard size you need to spend about 20 boards.
    2. Then think about what emphasis you will have. For stops, special grooves are made in the tabletop. The groove standard is 2.5 by 2.5 cm.
    3. Has the glue dried already? It's time to plan the surface of the tabletop so that it becomes perfectly smooth and even.
    4. Make the legs. 10x80 cm bars are suitable. Make grooves in the front supports. Brackets are inserted there, and then they are connected to the longitudinal beam.
    5. Then the base for the underframe is assembled. It is made from two frames and then attached to a support. The frames must be cut 2.5 cm into the legs, after which fasteners can be made from bolts.
    6. Now all that remains is to attach the side and rear support walls. They are easy to make from chipboard.
    7. The tabletop is connected to the upper frame. Simple bolts will do.

    At the final stage, the workbench is treated with drying oil and varnished.

    Shelving: a must-have item in any garage

    Over time, the garage inevitably turns into a real warehouse for tools and components, all kinds of things and devices. Of course, only a convenient rack can solve the storage problem and make it more rational. And the space will be used as wisely as possible.

    The optimal solution is to use wood and rolled metal. A hardwood like oak or beech will do. Shelves made from this material are stronger and therefore can withstand serious mechanical loads with ease. Normal pressure which a durable rack can support is approximately 150 kg. At the same time, it is not worth loading the structure with things weighing a total of about five hundred kilograms.

    Here is the algorithm for making it yourself.

    1. Take a board with a width of 9 cm. It must be cut into separate pieces with a size of approximately 20 cm. They will become supports for the rack.
    2. For shelves you need thicker boards: approximately 19-20 cm. Cut out sections of the required length.
    3. Now you need to mark the board for the base of the rack. You need to mark points on it so that later there will be spacers there. It is advisable to distance them 3 cm from each other.
    4. The top brace can be attached using a quality construction adhesive. The top shelf of the cabinet is already nailed to it. Then do the same with the other shelves. At the end of the work, fix the expansion element from below.
    5. Now the structure should be turned over to tighten the base of the cabinet with spacers. To do this, take screws of the appropriate size.

    Then you can additionally sand the rack and coat it with two layers of varnish. The best solution is to secure the rack to the wall with anchors. The areas above the top and bottom shelves are suitable as places for fastening.

    Device for making ropes from plastic

    When the plastic used to make water bottles is heated, it shrinks. Therefore, bottles can be used to make excellent strong rope. But this will require a special device. See exactly how to make it.

    • You will need a board, an electric drill, a utility blade and nuts and washers.
    • Place two washers in the center of the board.
    • Drill holes in the centers.
    • Drill holes on the back side.
    • Screw in the bolts.

    Using the device is not difficult. The bolts have protruding areas onto which washers are placed. The number of washers will determine the thickness of the rope being made. The knife is placed on washers, and the structure is strengthened by tightening the nuts. Then the entire structure must be secured to a work surface, for example, on a workbench.

    Then all that remains is to take a plastic bottle and cut off the bottom. The workpiece is placed under the knife. Pull the ribbon with one hand and hold the bottle with the other. Approximately 25 linear meters of excellent rope is obtained from one 2-liter bottle.

    Now you know what garage accessories to make with your own hands and how to arrange the space inside.

    Any car enthusiast can make a variety of garage accessories with his own hands, using inexpensive materials and the simplest tools. Such homemade crafts by a home craftsman turn a motorhome into a full-fledged workshop.

    If you plan to do independent maintenance of your vehicle in the garage, as well as carry out a variety of repair work and make your own crafts, it will be difficult to do without a workbench. It is usually made of wooden boards, which are mounted on a reliable base (profiled metal pipe or thick wooden beam).

    It is also possible to make a desktop from metal blanks. They are easy to cut to the required sizes and assembled into one durable structure using steel angles and hardware (screw connections, bolts, etc.) or using a welding machine.

    Making a wooden one always begins with drawing up a detailed design drawing.

    Then you will get an excellent work area where you can do any kind of home creativity, producing original and useful homemade products for the home.

Don't forget to apply drying oil to the made wooden workbench and coat it with varnish. On such a table you will make any crafts with special pleasure!

According to accepted standards, the rack must maintain a pressure of at least 150–160 kg.

    The structure for storing various tools and things is almost ready. You just need to sand the rack and then apply an oil varnish to the wood (it’s better to do two layers), and then attach the homemade structure to the wall with anchor screws. The places where the rack is attached to the wall are under the lowest and highest shelves.

    A homemade clamping device, which is sometimes impossible to do without in home-made projects, is very simple to make. You will need:

    • hydraulic jack;
    • metal platform bed;

    The use of such a technical homemade product is elementary - place the products you want to connect on the working surface of the press, cover them with a thick plywood sheet, lower the jumper pipe with the jack placed on it. You only need to apply pressure to the jack to glue two products or your own crafts together for centuries.

    But with the help of the following homemade product - a cyclone vacuum cleaner, you can always restore perfect order in the garage.

    3. Drill holes on the back side (this is a mandatory procedure to ensure that there are no twists or rotations when using the device).

After this, the homemade device must be secured with clamps on a garage workbench or other work surface.

    Next, we take a two-liter plastic bottle, cut out the bottom, cut a strip (very small) of the required length and place our “blank” under the knife. You need to pull the tape with one hand, and hold the container being cut with the other. From one 2 liter bottle you will get about 25 linear meters of excellent rope with high shrink characteristics.
