The layout of the kitchen work area includes:

• food storage space (cabinets, refrigerator);
• place for washing (sink);
• food preparation area;
• cooking area (cooking equipment).

These zones should be as close to each other as possible, both to save space and for convenience during cooking. The main working area, including the distance from the sink to the stove, should be from 400 to 900 mm. It is not recommended to install the refrigerator and stove next to each other closer than 300 mm.

The work area should be illuminated with small spotlights. To arrange it as a single whole, you need to use solid tabletop. In order to make the most of the useful space of the kitchen as a work area, you can install an additional tabletop under the window sill, thereby expanding it as shown in the photo.
