There are two decorating techniques:

Afterwards, glue is applied to the back of the mirror, preferably a round one - the silicone you buy must be neutral, acidic can easily destroy the thin mirror coating. Paper tubes are laid out in the shape of a sun or a flower, dried for a day in a horizontal position, and a new piece of decor is hung on the wall. For rooms with high humidity This design is not suitable.

Sometimes plastic straws and pen refills are used instead of paper tubes.

Plastic spoons

The larger the mirror, the more spoons will be required. You need to cut off the scoops from them, which will later become the “petals” of the flower mirror, and paint them the same color or different ones, if desired. Rope

The rope or lace chosen is thicker; for a large mirror, a real rope is suitable; for a small mirror, thin but strong twine or paracord is suitable. The base is cut out of cardboard or fiberboard, glue is applied to it, and the lace is laid out turn by turn. You can glue the mirror at the very beginning, then glue the rope around it. The frame is dried and varnished.

It is important to rinse thoroughly afterwards. Glossy shells do not soak in this salt solution! If you keep the shells in the hydrochloric acid solution longer, they will become aged and have a limestone decomposition. After soaking in water for a day, wash the shells, dry them and coat the top with Johnson's baby oil or acrylic varnish.

This finishing material can be supplemented with tiny pieces natural stones, starfish, corals or even coarse sea sand and polished sticks aged by time and sea.

Before gluing the shells to the surface, place them all on the surface and make sure they are in a beautiful compositional arrangement. Seashells look beautiful on the background for which they are used. river sand, pebbles or small shells.

Many craftsmen prefer to use Elmer's multi-purpose glue to glue shells to the surface. You must work with the glue very carefully so that it does not come out with its gloss and get on the surface of an adjacent shell.

This glue dries within 24 hours. After the glue has completely dried, the craftsmen coat the top with finishing varnish.
