All square baths look like a cage: take a look and it becomes clear what kind of structure it is. The corner building looks much more interesting: it resembles a tower. Complex wall configuration standing at an angle, original roof, a patterned veranda, a terrace or a grassy lawn - each of these elements gives the garden a new, unique look. A corner bathhouse with a veranda and a barbecue turns a distant, abandoned corner overgrown with burdocks into a cozy place for comfortable rest with a nice landscape.

Corner baths: layout, verandas, barbecue

Designers say: corner baths are becoming more popular than traditional ones. There are special reasons for this. The corner structure provides the owner with advantages:

  • Protects the garden from overly curious glances.
  • Leaves room to create a cozy patio - patio with a seating area.
  • Allows you to equip additional living space and turn the bathhouse into a romantic retreat, hidden in the depths of the garden.
  • If desired, it is easy to add an attic over such a house, and thereby further expand the operational capabilities of the log house.

Corner building projects are attractive due to their architectural completeness and comfortable layout. The interior consists of four main rooms:

  • steam room;
  • living room for relaxation;
  • dressing room;
  • veranda - a recreation area on which you can install a barbecue or build in another, functionally useful room.

Such baths are distinguished by good heat-saving ability: although the log house stands separately, the steam room in it is located in indoors. A stove is usually placed in the space between the steam room and the relaxation room, and it heats all the rooms. Often, a round terrace is installed in the corner between the wings of a building: the platform gives additional charm to the structure. If you close it with a light wall, you get a comfortable vestibule that prevents cold air from entering the heated rooms from outside.

  • The roof over the bathhouse can be a hip roof, one corner of which hangs over the terrace.
  • Complex looks impressive gable roof, the two spokes of which meet at right angles. An original canopy, a canopy covering the porch, adds additional expressiveness to this design.

The corner bathhouse is convenient to use:

  • A flooded stove heats two or three rooms at once.
  • The bathhouse often has two entrances, the doors of which face different sides of the building.
  • They also make separate doors to each room from the terrace or veranda.

Stylish option: install a barbecue on the terrace or veranda. This is a stove. The symbiosis of a fireplace and a barbecue is a beautiful oven for roasting meat. Such a hearth can add a touch of luxury to the most modest, architecturally speaking, bathhouse.

It contains:
  • firebox;
  • air supply chamber;
  • exhaust pipe.

There is also room for additional accessories - the main advantage of the barbecue. This includes magical items for preparing real, unique kebab.

Among them:

  • forged frame for skewers;
  • stainless steel grate – frying surface;
  • two pokers - curved and straight;
  • forceps.

However, the most important element barbecue - safety. Bake open type- source of heat and sparks. Its construction is treated with the utmost care.

In addition to the well-known requirements associated with fire protection, when building a barbecue, the wind rose is taken into account: the hearth must be protected from drafts.

The predominant wind direction is also taken into account when constructing a corner building. It is advisable to locate a bathhouse with a veranda so that open areas and doors are closed from strong gusts of air.

Corner bathhouse with closed veranda and utility block

One of the most important arguments speaks in favor of the corner structure: the L-shaped structure saves space, and this is a significant advantage that comes first when planning garden plot small area. In conditions of strict space saving, a bathhouse with a veranda can be combined with the construction of a utility block.

The barn can be adjacent to the bathhouse both from the main premises and from the veranda or rest room. The construction of a utility block allows us to solve another problem - to create a closed area on the veranda and on the lawn in front of the bathhouse. A separate entrance is provided to the room. In most cases, a bathhouse with a utility compartment is covered common roof to prevent leaks and ensure better thermal insulation the entire complex.

Corner bathhouse with attic floor and veranda

The corner building will fit perfectly into the already created landscape. If flower beds are laid out on the site, planted fruit trees, there is a lawn, in one of the corners there is always room for a new small building, such as a bathhouse. An interesting point: if you do it in a corner bath broken roof, and install a staircase in the hall, then at minimal cost you will get an additional guest house. The advantages of a separate mini-style cottage will be appreciated by growing or adult children who decide to visit their parents. It will also appeal to friends who come to relax for the weekend.

After all, a sloping roof is built from ordinary two-meter timber. The price of the material is much lower than rafter legs from long lengths. The bathhouse will turn out to be two-story, but the weight of the structure will also remain virtually unchanged: therefore, the foundation can be used the same.

Individual elements of construction will still have to be given increased attention.

  • The first such element is waterproofing. The ceiling on the steam room side should be carefully covered with moisture-repellent material, otherwise mold will settle in the room.
  • The second point is vapor barrier. Ventilation must be provided between the ceiling and the attic floor. Warming up from high temperatures beams or slabs will become a place for increased condensation to form. You may need to invest in a vapor-permeable membrane.

Corner bathhouse with glazed veranda - barbecue project

The veranda can be located between the functional rooms and the barbecue area or adjacent to both compartments - washing and entertainment. In the second case, it is placed in inner corner: this creates a zone that unites all rooms.

But, if one of the walls of the fireplace is roughly attached to the veranda, you will get an excellent wardroom for intimate conversations.

It is also possible to build a barbecue in a brick building inside the veranda. In this case, serious attention should be paid to ventilation: it is necessary to design and install exhaust device. Execute it without separate project extremely difficult. After all, the design should be:

  • safe – protect from exposure to carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide;
  • beautiful - like in a real mansion;
  • functional – convenient for use by both the cook and guests.

Corner one-story bathhouse with veranda

To summarize, we can say that the glassed-in veranda next to the bathhouse is great idea. Family evenings and friendly parties can be held indoors in the open air, protected from rain and wind. You can while away an evening or two in philosophical solitude: the interior allows it.

You can relax on the glazed veranda in any weather, and if it is heated by a barbecue oven, then at any time of the year. Glazed veranda– this is practical:
You can leave furniture on it without fear for its safety. If the glazing is made removable, then such a veranda can easily be turned into a real open terrace.

Corner baths with veranda: profiled timber

One question remains unanswered - what to make such a bathhouse from? The answer is obvious: from profiled timber. The material is cheaper than brick, more technologically advanced than logs. For the construction of a bathhouse - perfect option: after all, the rooms inside should be made of wood. The timber will allow you to save on finishing materials.

The design and architectural possibilities of timber are also great. Using profiled wood, you can create a gallery, a veranda, a steam room, and cozy room recreation.

A sauna with a terrace and barbecue area is an indispensable addition for comfortable relaxation, recovery and cooking delicious food in the open air at any time of the year. Projects can only consist of a furnished and equipped stove, an open extension or have weatherproof side panels. In the second case, the terrace can be used all year round.

The terrace is an extension of an open or closed type, which is erected directly next to one of the walls of the bathhouse (usually at the entrance). It has a common foundation with the bathhouse and roof structure. The undeniable advantages of having a terrace are:

  • the possibility of complete relaxation without leaving the building and at the same time preparing delicious food;
  • giving functionality to the bathhouse - in warm weather the additional room can be used for sleeping in the open air;
  • The barbecue oven will become one of the spectacular elements of the bathhouse, emphasizing the status of the owners and providing additional heating to the adjacent room.

The extension is made from various materials: It can be wooden, block or brick. Everything will depend on the building materials of the main building. Placement also depends on the wishes of the customer. The terrace (veranda) fits perfectly into the designs of not only a rectangular, but also a corner bathhouse and is placed along one of the walls, the facade, or becomes a corner structure. This is what it looks like in the photo below.

Bath terrace zoning projects

If you arrange a terrace in the corner, the chimney is easily vented through the roof and eliminates smoke from the room. A sliding, removable fabric, plastic or glass screen will ensure the use of the veranda, despite weather changes. Main: correct heat– and waterproofing.

Budget buildings can be considered frame-panel buildings. They can be either one- or two-story. The second option is a multi-level extension, where you can not only cook food, but also relax comfortably at any time. Photo of the bathhouse project with a terrace and barbecue below.

The barbecue area, if properly placed, does not require special insulation; a chimney with good draft will perfectly ensure the complete removal of combustion products without them entering the terrace space. In addition, for convenience, the veranda may have several entrances.

An ergonomic option for placing a terrace with a barbecue is the area between the house and the bathhouse, which is used in the form of a gazebo and a transition from one building to another.

The barbecue oven is planned independently or with the assistance of specialists. The simplest option is a small grill. But for brick bath A multifunctional stove is suitable, in which, in addition to barbecue, you can make smoking and hot dishes over an open fire.

For small terraces or if you do not want to become overly sophisticated in cooking, a small brick oven-grill is built. If you have a very limited budget, a stationary oven can be replaced with an assembly barbecue, simply by equipping a place for it (fire insulation and hood). This will be quite enough to prepare the lightest “after-bath food.”

It is interesting and useful to use the space for a terrace if you make it multi-level. IN in this case, the porch gradually turns into a balcony and then into a gazebo with a stove or barbecue.

Materials for construction

A timber terrace will cost the most. A bathhouse without an attic, a terrace and a barbecue will cost 750-900 thousand rubles. A two-story building with all the specified building elements already starts at 1.2 million rubles, if you order turnkey work. Economy offers for a small standard bathhouse, complemented by a veranda with a barbecue - from 550 thousand rubles.

The minimum size of terraces for a bathhouse is 6-9 m2, but if the family is large or expected a large number of guests, it is better to immediately include at least 12 m2 of area in the project. When using the bathhouse only in the warm season, the size of the terrace can be significantly increased by saving on the rest room.

The extension must be designed at the stage of construction of the bathhouse itself. In the future, such changes will require large expenses (for rebuilding the foundation and roof), so it is better to think through everything in advance.

It is also important to decide on the materials; if the bathhouse is a log house, then it is better to build a terrace using wood, etc. The fact is that differences in building materials can negatively affect the foundation, and ultimately the entire structure. The interior design of the terrace does not need to be sharply contrasting general interior the buildings. And not only for aesthetic reasons.

Each type of material requires a certain thermal and waterproofing, protection from damaging biological factors, has different weight, heat capacity, ability to resist chemical and atmospheric influences from the outside.

Wooden, brick or stone columns are used as fencing for the recreation area, on which the roof is supported, and side elements for protection from wind, rain, sunlight etc. Today, polycarbonate occupies a leading position in this. It is easy to mount and remove seasonally. He long time retains its original appearance, does not deform, and is easy to clean.

Materials for a barbecue oven must be heat-resistant, moisture-resistant, inert to changes temperature conditions, and the stove itself must operate on several types of fuel (coal, wood).

Most people consider baths as places for washing and good rest.

Those who own country houses and areas often strive to create their own individual projects baths with a terrace and barbecue under one roof.

And this is logical, because your own sauna is an opportunity to relax in relaxing conditions, have a feast, barbecue on the open terrace, relieve tension and stress by sitting comfortably in the relaxation area.

What is a terrace

It is considered to be an open area near the main building. Such a site has fences and a floor.

The owner determines the size of the terrace himself depending on his desires and financial potential.

A heavy stove is placed in this area. Taking into account this installation, certain specifics of the structure are formed.

Basis of construction

Most convenient option counts strip foundation under all the walls of the bathhouse and the barbecue area. The foundation is poured to the height of the floor, since the level implies the placement of the furnace itself.

The platform can be adjacent to the walls of the bathhouse on one or more sides. It can also be placed at a certain distance from the main building.

You can create a large platform that will go right next to the house. And already at the edge, arrange a slight removal. Here is a modest takeout that can be very harmoniously combined with a path where you can organize a barbecue. With this arrangement, smoke will not interfere with rest.

General view of the roof

The roof of a bathhouse with an open area is often common. But the foundations are necessarily created separately.

And between the bathhouse and the open space (if the site is adjacent to the bathhouse) insulation is laid. In this situation, the shrinkage of buildings is carried out independently.

Often shrinkage occurs unevenly. When zone filling, when the roof of the terrace and bathhouse is common, rafter diagram the roof must be floating. This way, it is possible to reduce the unevenness of drawdowns for the future to certain standards.

About coatings

If you plan to make a platform with wooden floor covering, then it’s worth choosing due to availability. It is the tape type that is quite simple to manufacture.

When considering the version with paving slabs, a profiled membrane and crushed stone backfill with sand are installed in the foundation. The option is the simplest to implement and in terms of price.

On pile foundation This results in modest expenses. During work, only wooden supporting components are installed - racks that will serve supporting elements for the roof.

At such sites, low-height wooden fences are often installed. The terraces themselves are attached to log or cobblestone walls. This is a traditional style.

Modern baths most often have terraces covered with tiles (sidewalk versions or ceramics)

Advantages of construction

Under brick or stone support pillars A tiled foundation with insulation must be laid.

The laying goes to a shallow depth. If such pillars stand on heaving soils without insulation, then winter time they will easily float. If the foundation is laid on dry, non-heaving soils, insulation can be abandoned.

Therefore, work on the foundation begins with studying the soil, which is selected for the width of the intended veranda. 50 cm is added to this parameter.

This is necessary for the protection device, which will be served by an insulated blind area. The blind area will shield the slab from the side and protect it from freezing.

The factors determining the depth of the pit are as follows:

  • type of region;
  • soil heaving level;
  • final finishing thickness.

Its advantages:

  • excellent thermal insulation;
  • powerful resistance to rot and water, fungi, mold, as well as mechanical influences;
  • Rodents and insects cannot harm it.

If you live in middle lane, then you are better off using EPS boards with an approximate thickness of 10 cm.

Soil remains in this working pit. It should be leveled and compacted. Next, crushed stone is poured. Requirements for it: medium fraction, thickness 10-15 cm. Crushed stone is carefully compacted. For this operation it is better to use a vibrating plate.

At this stage of work, a slope is formed to form a blind area. At the indicated 50 cm from the edge of the terrace, it is necessary to level the crushed stone so that its thickness decreases towards the edge.

Subject to a significant parameter groundwater drainage is arranged in the crushed stone. A pipe is needed here. Its correct position is 20-30 cm from the base of the house. The pipe will drain water that gets under the slab. Sand is poured onto the compacted crushed stone. The layer is 10-15 cm. It is also thoroughly compacted. Until there are no shoe marks. The slope for the blind area is also maintained.

The whole thing is covered with waterproofing on top. It's better to apply polymer membranes. They have high strength and a decent service life. And thanks to the uneven surface of the membrane, they slightly compensate for the heaving load in winter.

  • 10-15 cm of it is placed on the wall of the building (one edge);
  • the second edge covers the entire width of the blind area (this edge needs to be sprinkled with soil).

The waterproofing is covered with EPS boards. Another waterproofing layer with the same parameters as the previous one is placed on them. Both films must be secured with a clamping bar.

After these operations, formwork must be placed around the perimeter of the terrace being created. Those 50 cm are not taken into account. The formwork here will be a board whose height exceeds 1 m. Its fortifications are posts or jibs.

The reinforcement is laid out into halves of bricks, which guarantee a distance of 5 cm from the extreme side of the concrete slab.

The reinforcing material here is rods. Their required diameter is 6 mm. The required step for laying them is 10 cm in the lengthwise and crosswise directions. The areas where they intersect must be tied with knitting wire. This creates a reinforcing frame. Next, the concrete composition is poured into the formwork.
Its acceptable thickness is 10 cm. Proportions:

  • cement – 1 share;
  • sand – 2 shares;
  • crushed stone - share;
  • water is slightly less than the proportion of cement.

You can increase the resistance of the slab to frost using a concrete vibrator. It is not difficult to rent or purchase.

After the concrete has hardened, a film, preferably light-proof, is spread over the surface. If the work takes place in the heat, then the stove is sprayed with water for several days. The day after pouring the composition, you need to moisten it generously.

The following days – moisten it moderately. If you did not introduce any additives into the composition to accelerate its hardening, then finishing should begin after 3-4 weeks.

The formwork itself can be disposed of 6-7 days from the moment of pouring. Then, above the blind area (those 50 cm), pour and level the soil.

Formation of a pile foundation

As already noted, if a site with wood covering, then a pile foundation should be installed. To create it there is the most important conditionlow level groundwater. If these waters are quite close to the surface, a columnar foundation with a slight recess will be required.

For him best option- these are asbestos-cement metal pipes which are very durable and rust resistant. You can also arrange plastic pipes. True, plastic is less durable, but soil deposits do not cling to it.

Whatever pipe option is chosen, their required diameter is 20 cm. The piles are installed in increments depending on the type of soil and the impact on the terrace. The average value here is: 100 – 150 cm.

It is necessary to drill holes in the soil below its freezing depth. A 15-20 cm crushed stone bedding is created. The crushed stone is being compacted. Pipes are inserted. Their edges from above are concentrated at the same level.

Advice: To make it easier to insert pipes, you can fill a small bag of crushed stone inside.

The installation should be with the desired verticality. To check this parameter, it is better to use a plumb line.

Align the pipes along the planes with conveniently tensioned threads. For this purpose, reinforcing bars are driven in and placed vertically at important points. Laces are tied to them, serving as markings for the placement of pillars.

2-3 rods are driven into each pipe. Their required parameter: 8-10 mm. You just need to bandage them in advance with good elastic wire. The correct positions of each rod are at least 5 cm from the wall. This way, moisture and oxygen will not reach them, and they will not be destroyed by rust.

Having positioned the reinforcement, fill the piles with concrete. Its uniformity must be the highest. To achieve this task, use a vibrating concrete device. A submersible type modification is needed here. Its club and flexible shaft should reach a length of 150 - 200 cm.

If such equipment is not available, concrete piercing will be required. A thick reinforcing rod pierces the concrete right through. These actions eliminate air bubbles. Concrete should be pierced in this way immediately after it is poured. As a result, the composition settles slightly. And you need to add it a little.

You can also tap the pipe with a rubber mallet to improve the uniformity of the composition. Next, the concrete needs time to harden. Minimum 1-2 days.

The process of attaching the strapping

After these operations, you need to attach bars with parameters 15 x 5 or 7.5 x 15 cm to the posts from below. Be sure to treat them before laying protective compounds, antiseptics, cover with stains and varnish.

Moisture should not reach the wood through concrete. Therefore, place waterproofing in 1-2 layers under the bars.

It is also necessary to attach joists to the concrete. There are the following ways to do this:

  • while pouring piles in concrete mixture the studs are heated, then the logs are strung on them;
  • the logs are mounted with metal corners, here you need dimensional dowels;
  • U-like plates treated with zinc are used (variants of these plates: attached to the pile using dowels, having a pin that sinks into the concrete when it is poured).

Attaching joists to a structure is more difficult. It is best to proceed here using this method: a beam is attached at the desired level. To do this, use studs (version M12*1000) or anchor-type bolts ( minimum diameter– 1 cm). Fasteners are installed in increments of 50-60 cm. To improve fastening strength fasteners are placed in a zigzag: one is higher, the other is lower. The joints here are covered with sealant.

And it is already necessary to attach logs and other elements to the beam. In the process, it is important to use galvanized iron fasteners.

Note: When making the flooring, keep in mind that its height should be approximately 2.5 cm lower than the floor in the bathhouse. This way, water will not penetrate into the structure. Measuring the height of the window sill from the floor will help you navigate this task. On the outside there is a level 2.5 cm lower. Then it drops even lower - to the thickness of the board. That is, if the thickness is 3 cm, then the beam for support is nailed below the floor in the building already 5.5 cm.

And on initial stage After installing the strapping, the support beam is attached to the wall. It is on this basis that calculations should be made when installing strappings and joists. The specified beam can be used when determining the level of piles, which are placed along its lower edge.

It turns out that one beam is attached to the wall, the second to the piles. And to both bars you need to attach logs, which are placed at intervals of 40-60 cm. After which the flooring is nailed to them. His optimal material– special decking board. On one side there is a wave-like profile. When such a surface gets wet, there is no slipping.

To create bathhouses with terraces, you must first create projects, preferably with your own hands. Although you can turn to professionals.

Large terrace and remote barbecue area

Here the sauna is surrounded by a terrace on three sides. The site is characterized by an impressive area. This will allow any company to comfortably accommodate. Some part of the terrace can be arranged under a canopy, which will become a resting place on windy and rainy days. A separate takeout can become a barbecue location.

According to the scheme in this project, the stove simultaneously heats four adjacent rooms. If the building will be visited in winter, the rest room should also be heated. The power implied here is significant. This room needs another heat source. She has big sizes, but the stove does not heat it.

Important! If you are creating a bathhouse for all seasons, then move part of the relaxation room under the vestibule or into the hall.

Version with barbecue and terrace

There are two entrances here. The first one is obtained from the porch. The other is from the terrace. The bathhouse has its own bathroom and large kitchen. Area of the entire bathhouse and extensions: 14*7 m.

At the first entrance there is a vestibule. This entrance is intended to be used more often in winter. IN summer time The terrace can be enlarged due to wide sliding doors.

Corner type

This option is very functional. The bathhouse here is allocated a minimum space, and there are all the necessary premises. The spaciousness of the shower room is such that you can place some kind of structure for ablution there.

Most often a font is placed here. The furnace is fired from a steam room. If you move the doors, the stove can be concentrated closer to the corner, even wedged into the wall.

Then the firebox will be fired from the shower room. For other rooms, heating should be thought out, especially if you intend to actively visit the bathhouse in the cold.

Modest type with porch and terrace

There is no vestibule, which complicates the use of the bathhouse in winter. There is a locker room. Moist air follows from the washing room.

Therefore, it is necessary to arrange high-quality ventilation here. Initial and final holes are made, that is, for entry and exit.

The second one has a special fan for exhaust. Only with this arrangement moisture is removed quickly.

The diagram is presented below:

Whatever option you prefer, based on your intentions and financial capabilities, you guarantee yourself excellent mental rest.

It is important to know: be sure to study the rules before erecting any option fire safety. This is extremely necessary if barbecuing takes place on the terrace in the future.

Your choice in favor of one or another type of arrangement of the space around the barbecue should be based on what the price of this building will be, also taking into account total area your site and its landscape.

  • on small area you can easily equip a bathhouse with a stove, for example, by making it a corner one. The advantage of this design is that when minimum costs square meters you will receive your own multifunctional relaxation corner;
  • a corner log house can be very compactly placed at the end of your site, and the view of your yard that opens in front of it will be an excellent addition to beautiful gazebo with barbecue;

  • baths of this kind usually require the presence of two entrances - one leading to the relaxation room, and the second to the bath complex. In this case, a gazebo with a seating and cooking area is attached to one of the entrances;

A bathhouse with an attic () could also be a good option. Placing the building upward, rather than wide, will be the best demonstration of the competent use of the usable space of your site.
