Floors and joists

Regardless of the construction technology, the floors of the first floor are double.
The subfloor is assembled from edged boards 19-20 mm thick and rests on the cranial bars of the floor beams.
The finishing floor is assembled from a fine planed tongue and groove board with a thickness of 30-40mm.
Floor joists are made with a section of 50x150 mm, floor beams are installed in increments of 0.5 m.
The floors of the first floor are insulated with 50mm thick glass staple fiber, the insulation is laid on both sides: on the bottom with a wind- and moisture-proof vapor-permeable membrane, on top with a vapor barrier membrane.

Interfloor ceilings

Interfloor floor beams are made of boards with a section of 50x150mm.

Sometimes walls do not require additional decorative finishing inside, which creates the desired color of the interior and allows you to save on sheathing finishing materials. Those who are bothered by the abundance of solid wood outside and inside have to carefully think through the design of the structure so that it does not look like a large wooden box.

The disadvantage of some types of raw materials is that the diameter decreases towards the top, which complicates the joining of the crowns. In addition, caulking has to be done to reduce heat loss. Another feature of the base material is its shrinkage, which takes place in 2 stages: active (up to a year) and passive (the rest of the time while the house is standing). Until the box settles, finishing inside cannot be done. This can lead to cracking and crumbling of facing materials.

The five-wall structure is a special log structure. This box has a fifth load-bearing wall in addition to the standard four. In addition to four-wall and five-wall layouts, the layout can also be six-walled. In this case, the six-wall structure has 2 transverse walls and one longitudinal wall, covered with a roof. In such houses there is space not only for the main premises, but also for household needs.

Glued laminated timber is produced by sawing logs into lamellas, after which they are glued together to obtain a material with a square or rectangular cross-section. This material is durable, its shrinkage and deformation during the drying process is minimal. It is not subject to rotting. The disadvantage of raw materials is their cost, which forces us to turn to more acceptable options for log material.

For the construction of buildings with thick walls, non-rounded logs are used. Chopped logs retain their properties as much as possible natural characteristics. They are more resistant to moisture, the center of their trunks is not displaced, and these are raw materials with less susceptibility to cracking. These logs allow you to convey the aesthetics of Russian antiquity.

Design

Design involves taking into account the required footage for specific needs. It is created before purchase required material using a special design program or drawing a schematic sketch.
