Their main difference is functionality.

The most common types of washbasins:

  • A simple washbasin. It is a small hinged tank with a pressure spout. The container has a small volume - 3-5 liters. It is easy to attach - all you need is a suitable vertical stand. It could be a tree, a fence, a wall of a country house. Water is poured into the container manually, and drainage can be done into a bucket or basin and the waste can be poured into cesspool as it accumulates. If it is rarely used, there is no need to substitute anything - the wastewater will go into the soil. For their better absorption You should pour some gravel under the washbasin. It is suitable for washing, but this volume of water is not enough to wash dishes.
  • Large volume washbasins. This is a vessel with a capacity of 10 to 18 liters - rectangular, round or oval in shape with a built-in tap at the bottom of the wall. Its convenience lies in the fact that you need to fill it with water less often, and the use of a faucet allows you to open the water and use it without doing any more manipulations. The container can be made of stainless steel or plastic. Large washbasins can be hung on a vertical base: a wall or a stand, both outside and indoors.
  • Washstand on the counter. The water tank is fixed to a metal support at the top. This type of washbasin is only used outdoors. There is a crossbar at the bottom of the stand; to install it, just press it with your foot and the support arms will be firmly driven into the soil. This washbasin is easy to install in any convenient place in the garden. There is a valve mounted on the wall at the bottom of the container, and the volume of water containers ranges from 8 to 15 liters.
  • Washstand with cabinet. It consists of a cabinet, sink and tank. This is a multifunctional design, it can be placed outdoors and indoors. The water tank is also equipped with a valve, which allows you to wash greens and berries under running water. It can be equipped with a mirror, a towel rack, and a soap stand. The cabinet is a convenient place to store cleaning supplies and products.

Heating water makes it possible comfortable stay at the dacha: hygiene procedures warm water, washing dishes hot and so on. Using a thermostat, you can heat water to temperatures from 30 to 70 degrees. The volume of dishes usually ranges from 10 to 20 liters. And it is made of durable plastic, used for the manufacture of electric kettles. Sometimes it is welded from stainless steel.

All types of washstands can be purchased ready-made in the store, but not everyone can afford this. Therefore, making a washbasin at the dacha yourself is not difficult, and even economical. Moreover, this way you can spend time with your child and teach him a lot.

We do it ourselves and have fun

To build a country washbasin you will need to purchase:

  • Water tank and plumbing fittings. You can fit a canister, bucket, or barrel under the tank - this will save money for the washbasin.
  • Sink the right size and shapes. Any old sink will do; an old, Soviet-era plumbing accessory is especially convenient.
  • Materials for the frame and connection of the sink and container. Can also be used under a cabinet old bedside table, chest of drawers, secretary desk.
  • Special materials for connecting water and discharging waste into the sewer system. You can use a garbage can or drain the waste pipe into a cesspool.

An old teapot with a spout will do just fine.

Attach it to a vertical surface by nailing long nails to it so that the kettle rests on them.

Pour water into the kettle, close the lid tightly and tilt it slightly.

After washing your hands, place the kettle so that it does not spill.

You can place a bucket or basin under the drain; if you use it infrequently, the waste will simply be absorbed into the ground.

Plywood is in use!

To make this washbasin, you need to prepare some materials and tools:

  • rectangular plywood sheet
  • protective impregnation for wood
  • tank, preferably galvanized
  • faucet
  • hose
  • device for draining waste water;
  • frame-stand, can be from an old table or bedside table
  • ceramic tile
  • screws, metal drill
  • brush, tile adhesive

The canister is not only for gasoline

A water tank can be made not only from plastic canister, but also an old large saucepan or tank. It is important that they have a lid - after filling the container with water, it must be closed to avoid contamination of the water.

The selected container must be equipped with a tap; to do this, drill or cut a hole at the bottom. To ensure tightness, it is necessary to install a squeegee in the hole, securing it with rubber gaskets on both sides.

The drive is fixed from the internal and outside nuts, and then a tap is installed on it.

When installing drainage from a washbasin, the main thing is to seal the joints. Drainage can be done in several ways: place a bucket under the sink, dig drainage ditch, make a channel with a pipe to the sewer pit.

Lead selection Wastewater depends on the intensity of use of the washbasin and the volume of these drains. If they are small, you can fill the soil under the manufactured structure using crushed stone or gravel so that the drainage goes into the ground.

Racks? Very durable!

It is not difficult to make a washstand on stands. For the frame it is taken steel pipe any cross-section shape and small. You will need tools: a grinder for cutting pieces of pipe and a welding machine.

For stability, make the frame on two supports located at a distance of 20-25 cm.

A water tank can be made from any suitable container or purchased ready-made. The support is mounted as follows:

  • Measure the required length of supports and cut two pieces of pipe.
  • To easily bury the supports into the ground, cut off their ends at an angle.
  • Cut a piece of pipe for the jumper at the bottom and another for the bar on which the water dish will be attached.
  • Weld the jumper at the bottom of the supports, and the bar for the tank at the top.

Now a container is attached to the supports at the top, on the bar; if it is metal, then it can simply be welded. Equip it with a faucet and place the washstand in the right place, pressing the jumper with your foot so that the support fits well into the soil. Fill a container with water and you can use it.

How to make heating

You can heat the water in washbasins with large capacity, “moidodyr” type or on supports. The main thing is that there is an electrical outlet nearby.

You can heat the water an ordinary boiler, but it is more convenient and safer to use a heating element with a thermostat. It must be installed in a container 3-5 cm above the bottom, then it will work and the water will immediately flow warm. It is installed by inserting into the body.

In this case, the block with the thermostat remains on the outer wall, which makes it difficult to seal the tank. You can simply immerse the heating element into the tank through the lid and not think about the integrity of the tank.

A little about capacity

When planning the construction of a country washbasin, you should think through in advance some issues regarding the choice of a water tank so that it is durable, easy to clean and provides normal pressure.

If you make an accessory with a cabinet, then you need to take large capacity, at least 10-20 liters - a smaller volume of water does not make sense. The material from which the tank is made is also important. They are usually made from stainless steel.

The choice remains with the owner, and he is guided, as a rule, by the cost of the item. It is better to take a container for a country washstand from stainless steel, because it is durable and reliable. The plastic may burst, crack or splinter if the structure suddenly falls.

In order not to regret it later, it is better to spend money once and be confident in the strength of the container.

The shape of the tank is also very important. The higher the water level in the tank, the stronger the pressure from the tap. From flat and horizontal tank the water is flowing in a thin stream. The container should be selected with an elongated shape and so that its bottom slopes towards the tap.

The location of the tap also plays a role in the jet pressure. The lower the faucet is embedded, the stronger the pressure. This is especially true for valve taps, in which the pressure is lost even when it is opened.

In addition, the tap located below makes it possible full use water filled into the tank. There will be no need to constantly add additional portions of water to the still empty container.

It’s not at all difficult to choose a washbasin model, a place to install it, and even make your own washbasin for your summer cottage. Without this attribute, no work in the garden or garden is possible. Even rest will be uncomfortable if you constantly ask someone to pour water just to wash your hands.

Hanging washbasin

Portable washbasins are designed for small volumes, up to 5 liters. They are made of plastic. They come in oval, round or conical shape. Instead of a tap, there is a movable spout-shutter. They pressed it and water began to flow; when they released it, the water stopped. They are very easy to install - just hang them on a nail. Moreover, they are mobile; they can be moved to another place at any time without any effort.

There are also more advanced models of hanging washbasins. More voluminous plastic tank(10-15 l), often rectangular in shape, has two lids for pouring water. The spout is equipped with a magnet and can be fixed for ease of use. Some models are equipped with a simple valve.

Galvanized washbasin

Another option for a wall-mounted washbasin is an oval tank made of galvanized steel with a tap. Outwardly, it certainly outperforms its plastic counterparts. But the service life of such a washbasin will be shorter, since steel rusts when exposed to water, and over time the tank will leak.

Washbasin with chipboard cabinet

This washbasin can be used both outdoors and indoors (for example, on country veranda). These models are no longer so mobile and are considered more stationary.

Advice. On the street, it is better to install a cabinet with a washbasin under a canopy, since the materials from which the cabinet is made may not withstand the effects of precipitation and temperature changes.

Depending on the model, moydodyrs are equipped with a mirror, soap dish, and towel hanger. Inside the cabinet, either buckets are installed to drain the water, or a corrugated pipe is used to drain the drain into. Tanks in moydodyrs are designed for a larger volume (up to 32 liters), which is also important for convenience.

The presence of a sink makes using the washbasin more comfortable. Here you can calmly wash fruits or dishes.

The water flow will be regulated by unscrewing the plug on the neck. Such a washbasin can be built in spartan conditions in an uninhabited area; this does not require special tools or raw materials.

Homemade washbasin from a plastic bottle

A more complicated option is a hanging tank made from a bucket. Any bucket will do – plastic, nylon, metal. For the tap, you need to drill a hole in the bottom of the container or on the side. A squeegee is installed in the hole, which is fixed with locknuts from the outer and inside. A crane is attached to the squeegee. The structure is ready. For convenience, you can install a sink under the container. These washbasins can be decorated to suit your taste. They will fit perfectly into the country style of decorating a summer cottage. Using the same principle, you can arrange Summer shower Location on.

  • old secretary desk
  • a stand from an old sewing machine,
  • dresser,
  • rare buffet, etc.

A decorated barrel looks very original as a cabinet.

The cabinet can be made from wooden blocks, and the design can be folding and portable.

Already used apartment options are usually used as sinks. Often they still look decent, but fashion dictates its own rules, and old shells are sent to the country. Aluminum or copper basins look impressive as sinks.

Any non-leakage container can serve as a tank:

  • bucket;
  • barrel;
  • old manual washing machine;
  • plastic canister.

Used water can be drained into a bucket under the sink. The drain can be improved by running drain pipes to a dug hole at the end of the site.

Once you have decided on the materials, you can begin assembly.

  1. Attach the tap to the tank.
  2. Install and secure the tank to the support.
  3. Prepare a hole in the cabinet or countertop to match the size of the existing sink. If a basin is used, a drain hole will be sufficient.
  4. Place the cabinet firmly and secure the sink to it.
  5. Arrange for drainage of used water.
  6. Decorate the entire structure at your discretion.

To prevent water from collecting in the garden under the washbasin, crushed stone is placed underneath it. Wall-hung washbasins have gained immense popularity due to their low cost and ease of use.

There are also large-capacity washbasins for filling with water. They have a large number of advantages: you need to add water less often, the capacity of the container lasts for a long time, it has a tap valve. They are made from plastics and stainless steel.

Washbasins mounted on a counter

This option is very often used, since almost all novice summer residents made this design on their site, this is a washbasin on a counter.
Braziers and barbecues in assortment and to order, forged.

The water tank is mounted on a counter, and this washbasin can be installed in any corner of the summer cottage.

This design can be made with your own hands and it will not take much time and material. All you need are pipes, a welding machine and a grinder for cutting metal.

First, measure the required lengths of pipes and cut them. The ends of the posts are cut at an angle so that they can be easily driven into the ground. A mount for a water container is welded on the top of the rack.

Washbasin with a moidodyr-type bedside table.

This washbasin consists of a bedside table, a sink installed on it and a washbasin. This structure can also be installed at home and in the garden.

Under the bedside table there is a container for drainage or other household appliances. The presence of a sink allows you to wash vegetables and dishes, as they can be placed on the sink.

In addition, on the top of the washbasin you can attach a mirror, towel holders and other stands for various things.

How to make a washbasin yourself?

Washbasins for summer cottages They don't cost a lot of money. The price depends on the design and type of washbasin, as well as its function. In addition, anyone can make a washbasin.

Choosing a washbasin

When choosing, you should pay attention to the shape and size of the water container. The selection of a washbasin begins from these criteria.

It is also very important where you want to use it, at home or on the site. The shapes of the containers play a very important role; the pressure of flowing water from the tap depends on their shape.

You also need to consider how and where the faucet or valve of the washbasin is located. The amount of water will depend on this.

Washbasin cabinet frame

If you want to make a cabinet and washbasin with your own hands, then you need to consider some points. For example, will you need space under the sink for household utensils, the size of the washbasin, the presence of hooks and a mirror.

85 cm to 1 m is the most convenient height for the sink; these values are taken from the height and proportions of the family members who will use the sink.

The frame is welded from metal corners or profiles, which are marked according to the size of the washbasin. You can also make the frame from boards or bars, but nothing can resist the strength of metal.

Also, if the washbasin is installed at home, you can attach a countertop to it, on which you can cut food and cook.

Photos of washbasins for the dacha

In this article we will tell you how to make a washbasin for your dacha with your own hands, we will look at various options, and also show photos and video instructions for creating an outdoor washbasin.

The washbasin should be:

  • simple;
  • multifunctional (so you can not only wash your hands);
  • convenient.

If your dacha does not yet have a washbasin, then please read this article carefully. In fact, there are more than enough ways to make a homemade washstand.

From a plastic bottle

Simplest, a budget option. This could be a 1.5 liter bottle or a 5 liter bottle. First you need to cut off the bottom. Then, using a clamp or aluminum wire, secure it to some vertical plane. The role of the dispenser in in this case the lid itself will play. We put some water in the container, and it will flow in a thin stream when we slightly open the lid. The result is the simplest – and it couldn’t be simpler – wall-mounted washbasin. That's all the wisdom of this washstand.

With faucet

This permanent structure is more complex, so its manufacture will require at least basic knowledge of plumbing. It will be good if in your household by chance there will be a small 6-liter plastic (soft plastic) can with a wide neck or any other suitable container. This time we will have to spend money on purchasing accessories for the future washbasin. You will need:

  • drive;
  • water supply tap;
  • two rubber gaskets;
  • two nuts;
  • two washers.

The work will not require professional skills. It's simple: drill a hole in the bottom of the can to match the diameter of the drive (the lower, the better). We insert the drive itself into the hole with the side where there are more threads, install washers on both sides, and then gaskets and clamp them with nuts on both sides. After this, we screw on the faucet, having previously wound a linen winding coated with a special impregnation onto the squeegee clockwise and that’s it, the washbasin is ready.

All that remains is to choose a suitable cabinet for it or a stand pre-attached from four wooden blocks. Having secured the can to this structure, fill it with water. And now you have a more civilized option for a larger volume of liquid in the country washbasin and, moreover, with a tap for water supply.

In that simple version You can do without a washbasin without flushing. For example, take a 10-liter galvanized bucket. We will need:

  • two rubber gaskets;
  • screw;
  • brass pin-type water tap;
  • drill attachment.

The work is simple: in the lower part of the bucket, using a nozzle, we drill a diameter for a brass tap. Place a gasket on it and insert it into the finished hole. On the other side we also insert the gasket and tighten it with a nut. Top part The washbasin is ready.

It would not be out of place to say that outdoor washbasin must be equipped with a drain. This can be an ordinary container where used water is collected or a ready-made sink with a corrugated tube inserted into the drain (from three meters). With the help of such a tube, water can simply be drained into the garden and absorbed into the ground. Some people do not install a drain at all, and the water flows directly onto the ground. And so that dirty slurry does not form under your feet (two buckets are enough). As they say, cheap and cheerful.

For indoors

If we are talking about homemade washbasins outdoors, then it is definitely worth mentioning indoor washbasins. The indoor washbasin is much more complex in design than its outdoor counterparts. It is clear that here you need to take care not only of its functionality, but also of its beauty. In other words, it should fit harmoniously into the general surroundings of simple country life. Most likely, this will be the most common type of internal washbasins - “moidodyr”. How to make this washbasin out of wood? We will need boards 25x150 mm.

In vertical blanks, it is necessary to cut out recesses in advance (depth 20 mm, width 8 mm). This can be done using hand router. In horizontal workpieces, using a regular hacksaw, tenons are cut accordingly.

The hacksaw should be sharp enough and have fine teeth. Canvas length: 25–30 cm.

The size of the future washbasin is largely determined by the dimensions of the water container that we plan to use for it. It is also important for us to know for sure the dimensions of the sink that we will mount on the cabinet. After everything is cut to size and the technological recesses along with the spikes are cut, the washbasin is assembled like a construction set. However, it would be better to secure the connection points with wood screws.

The upper (or side) part of the structure has a niche where we should insert the finished water container.

For such a washbasin, a 20-liter galvanized tank (width: 490 mm, height: 360 mm, thickness: 140 mm) is better suited.

We reinforce the bottom of the washbasin cabinet with slats (20×45 mm) at the same distance from each other. Rear wall We cover the upper part of the “moidhole” with plywood - from 3 mm and secure it with self-tapping screws. Of course, it’s better to use moisture-resistant plywood for this kind of thing in case the water container leaks, but if it doesn’t, don’t worry.

As for the cabinet door, everything is simple here: to the frame of four small interconnected wooden planks On the back side we glue a square of 3 mm plywood using PVA glue. All that remains is to embed the lock with curly pen. All, wooden frame"Moydodyra" is assembled. Now finishing touch- This means sanding, painting the product, and then installing the sink. It will turn out very nice.

There are a lot of options for washbasins and they are all good in themselves. The question is which design you will prefer. Much, of course, depends on the functions you assign to it. One way or another, a washstand/sink is convenient in all respects. And if it’s at the dacha, then even more so. Therefore, we hope that this article was useful to you.
