Ribbon labyrinth "Mobius". We make unusual games from scrap materials Do-it-yourself tape maze

How are outdoor labyrinths different from indoor labyrinths?

Fundamental differences not in the design. And you can choose a street labyrinth for yourself from the general catalog of labyrinths on the OtAdoYa website:. But it is worth remembering that street labyrinths must be protected from the effects of weather conditions. Therefore, street labyrinths are often placed under a canopy, awning, or their design includes a roof and walls that protect the attraction from the vagaries of nature.

Rain and straight sunlight can visually deteriorate the condition of your maze, and moisture creates an additional risk of injury by making the obstacles wet and slippery. Also, street labyrinths are more demanding in terms of compliance with hygiene standards - you need to monitor the cleanliness of the complex more carefully.

What are street labyrinths like?

Street labyrinths are divided into:

1. dismantled street labyrinths with a canopy.Such labyrinths are dismantled when cold weather sets in and can then be assembled at any location. suitable site;
2. permanent labyrinths that cannot be dismantled.Created for them metal carcass, reliable roof and walls. Often such labyrinths are themed, with a unique, bright design. An example of such a labyrinth is presented below, not in photographs, this is our project in Berdsk:

What are the advantages of street labyrinths?

This kind of business pays off quickly. In just one season you will get your investment back.
The main condition is to install the labyrinth in a high-traffic area where many parents walk with their children. Great place for such an attraction there will be family parks, places near children's institutions, areas near shopping centers, beaches, residential areas where many families with children live.

There is no need to spend large sums on promoting a street labyrinth - it literally sells itself. Children, seeing a beautiful labyrinth, will ask their parents to take them there, and their parents will happily agree. Very often, parents, seeing a street labyrinth, themselves invite their children to play in it, since the children will splash out their energy on fresh air, and the parents themselves will be able to relax during this time.

Are there any disadvantages to street labyrinths and how can you turn them into a plus?

The most significant disadvantage of street labyrinths is seasonality. Such an attraction can only operate fully in the warm season. But this minus can be turned into a big plus if you install a dismantled labyrinth for the summer, and with the onset of cold weather, select a room for it and install the labyrinth there. Then this wonderful attraction will generate income all year round.

When do you need to order the labyrinth to open for the season?

Now! Yes, yes, now is the time! The season begins in May, when nature begins to delight warm weather. To open such an attraction in May, it is necessary to choose the type of labyrinth now and put it into production. It is worth considering that the production of such labyrinths takes on average about 30 days; it will also require time for delivery (from Novosibirsk) and installation.

How much does it cost?

The cost depends on many parameters: on the configuration of the labyrinth you choose (height, area and content), its passability, as well as on the presence and type of decor. Our managers can calculate a more accurate cost, since the figure is calculated individually for each labyrinth.

We also have discounts, interest-free installments and a credit offer. You can find out more details from our managers.

You will need

  • Plywood, woodworking tools, sheathing material, sound component, wires, lighting lamps, toys and accessories.

Instructions

First you need to decide what exactly yours will be. It’s quite difficult to do it in a city, unless you have a two-story apartment. Best for creating a labyrinth Vacation home or dacha. Think about where you want to place the future labyrinth. It could be basement your house. This will give your labyrinth more mystery and mystery. You can also make a small maze for your children to play in. By placing it under the second floor, you can watch from above as your child tries to find the only correct path.

Let's say that you have chosen the basement as the location for the future labyrinth. now is the time to think about the drawing. This is one of the most important parts of building a labyrinth. There are labyrinths different types and of varying complexity. The best thing in the house is a rectangular labyrinth or square shape. This labyrinth is easy to build. Design a detailed maze on paper. You can take it already ready-made diagram from any source, or you can use your own imagination. Remember that there should only be one correct exit to a maze. Also try not to make the paths too complicated. Still, this is a little entertainment for your guests, not torture. After making the sketch, make an accurate drawing with dimensions. The width should be sufficient for an adult to move comfortably in it, but not too wide so as to create the impression of an enclosed space.

Now that I'm ready detailed drawing, you can proceed directly to preparing the premises. It is necessary to completely clean it of unnecessary items. Also examine the floor, walls and ceiling for unevenness. They need to be removed. Now you need to purchase the material from which you will make the corridors of the future labyrinth. It is best to use thin sheets and plywood. They are easy to process and do not take up much space. You need to take the material with a reserve in case you spoil some of the workpieces.

Make labyrinth blanks from the purchased material. There will be a lot of them, so you should collect them as they are made, starting from the far wall. It is recommended to fasten the parts together with screws. Make sure that the bottom of the parts fits tightly to the floor and that there are no small gaps through which light can penetrate. When all the pieces are installed, you need to think about lighting. Here everything depends only on your imagination. It is best to install small lamps in different parts of the maze, but this should be done evenly so as not to highlight the correct exit path.

After installing the lighting, you need to take care of the exterior decoration. You can paint the walls of the labyrinth in some color or imitate the surface oak boards. But it is best to cover the walls of the labyrinth with fabric, for example, a material similar to velvet. Also think about accessories. Install stylized toys with mysterious dim lighting. They will look beautiful the bats with glowing eyes. You can also hang portraits of magicians or sorcerers, lightly lighting them. It will be very realistic if you add sound to everything. To do this, install several speakers on the ceiling. To do this, use round speakers.

You can also equip your labyrinth with a video tracking system, then you will be able to monitor all the movements of the guest. Don't forget about the correct exit route as well. It needs to be highlighted somehow. It is best to use light signals. For example, in the middle of all corridors lay LED strip. Lay a green tape on the right path, and red tape on the wrong path. Connect the tapes to one button or remote control, now when you press a button, a lost person can easily find a way out.

See what unusual games you can make from scraps waste materials. They can keep children occupied on a hike, in the country, at home.

How to make a giant domino with your own hands?

Often, city residents are sorely lacking in movement. You can fill this gap at the dacha by making unusual games. Dominoes are suitable for adults, but in an unusual way.

To move chips like this, you have to work hard. But first you need to put in the effort to make the dominoes. For it you will use:
  • boards;
  • saw;
  • dark stain;
  • paint brush;
  • white oil paint;
  • circle pattern;
  • grinder or sandpaper.
Saw the boards into chips of the required length. You will need 28 pieces. Now you need to sand the cuts and surface with a grinder or first with coarse sandpaper, then with fine sandpaper.

Now, sequentially, allowing each layer to dry, apply two or three layers of stain.

When the last one dries, then we begin the interesting process of marking. If you are not striving for a perfectly even shape, then you can paint the dividing stripes with white paint with a brush. If you want them to be flawless, then use a stencil. This item, but with round hole, will help to apply other elements to the dominoes.

Draw circles on the figures, let them dry, after which you can try out the game in action.

"Tic-tac-toe" for children

Sometimes an idea for entertainment can be found almost under your feet. See how you can make the game of Tic Tac Toe even more interesting by taking stones.

Here's what you need to use to make such unusual games:
  • board;
  • saw;
  • a sheet of paper or cardboard;
  • stationery knife;
  • ruler;
  • white oil paint;
  • stones;
  • scotch;
  • brush.
Saw off the board the right size, use tape to attach to it paper template, but prepare it first. To do this, use a ruler to draw two stripes 2 cm wide, and a couple more of the same, but perpendicular to the data. Cut out the outlines with a utility knife.

Now apply a layer of white paint to this template attached to the board, let it dry, and paint it a second time.

While the playing surface is drying, let's work on the stones. First, wash them well with a brush and dry. Then draw crosses on some and zeroes on others.

You can diversify this entertainment if you paint the stones in two types to resemble insects. One player is given ladybugs, the other is given striped bugs. The winner is the one who can quickly line up his pieces in a straight or diagonal line.

If you want to quickly play Tic Tac Toe, but no suitable base, then you can use squares cut from cardboard or tiles.

Unusual games for children: master class

They can also be made from what you have on hand.

For this one you will need:
  • plastic bag with zipper;
  • transparent hair gel;
  • glitter;
  • rubber figures of fish, algae or pieces of plastic.
Creation instructions:
  1. Use a transparent plastic bag in which pillows and other products are sold. If you don’t have one, you will need 2 strong bags, which you insert one into the other, seal the hole on top with electrical tape.
  2. Pour transparent gel into the prepared container, pour glitter into it, shake several times.
  3. If there are inhabitants of the deep sea made of rubber or similar waterproof material, place them inside. If there are none, cut them out of thin plastic.
  4. The child will be interested in playing with such a toy, but do not pour the solution to the top so that it does not leak through the top hole.
Using the same principle, you can make another unusual game.

For it you will need:
  • plastic bag with a closing device;
  • colored electrical tape of different colors;
  • scissors;
  • dry peas, beans or beans.
Cut strips from the electrical tape and bend them, glue them onto a plastic bag. Place peas or other large grains inside. The child will try to drive them into the makeshift gate, and at the same time will gain the first mathematics skills by counting grains.

DIY crafts from disposable plates

They will allow you to get attributes for games in just a few minutes. Balloon You can throw each other not only with your hands, but with such interesting devices.

To create you will need:
  • two plastic disposable plates;
  • glue;
  • 2 ice cream sticks;
  • balloon for the game.
Glue a stick to each plate and inflate a balloon. Wait for the glue to dry, now you can play interesting game.

Disposable plates will quickly turn into tic-tac-toe paraphernalia. For this with reverse side The corresponding signs are drawn with a marker. You can quickly make a playing field from clothing belts or braid. These elements need to be laid out parallel and perpendicular to each other at the same distance, and the places where they intersect must be sewn up. After which the original game is ready.

If you have any left cardboard sleeve from disposable towels or other material, use it for your next entertainment. You also need to cut out the bottom of disposable plates and paint the remaining rims, which the child will do with great pleasure.

Using tape, stick the sleeve onto the inverted plate; it is better to attach a weighting agent to the reverse side. Now you need to throw the rings onto the base, thereby training your accuracy. You can also use bushings from toilet paper. Having moved some distance, the child will throw rings here from disposable tableware a certain color.

Look what chic jewelry they create for young ladies from the same waste material. If you still have disposable plates after celebrating some event, do not throw them away, wash them and dry them. From their lower part you need to cut out a headband, and from the upper part: a heart, leaf, ears, star or other object.

The diagrams presented below will simplify your task; you can make such hats for girls who will certainly love these accessories.

But you can also choose for boys suitable model, using for this purpose not a plastic, but a cardboard disposable plate. If you don’t have one, you can cut out a hat from regular cardboard and decorate it with a stylish sticker, which is also easy to make.

If children decide to play princes or princesses, take:

  • disposable paper plates;
  • scissors;
  • beads;
  • glue;
  • pencil;
  • ruler.
Using a ruler and pencil, draw the corners from the center towards the edges, cut them out, and bend them up. Glue a bead to the ends of these figures, after which you can begin an exciting game.

If you need to quickly make a carnival mask, disposable plates will also help with this. Cut each one in half, paint it in the desired color, draw facial details such as mouth, ears, eyes. But it is better to cut out the latter in order to be able to look through the mask. Wrap a wooden skewer with paper tape. Glue on one side of the mask.

Outdoor games for children

They are also made from practically nothing. For the next one you need to take:

  • empty tin cans;
  • drill or nail with hammer;
  • rope;
  • scissors or knife;
  • 2 slingshots;
  • a strong branch.
Step-by-step production:
  1. Sharpen the ends of the spears and drive them into the ground.
  2. Make two holes in the cans opposite each other. If you have a drill, drill them with this tool, if not, then put the can on a block of wood, place it with inside nail, hit it several times with a hammer. You will get a hole of the required diameter.
  3. Insert a rope into these and tie the ends.
  4. Hang the cans on a branch that needs to be secured to the ends of the slings as a horizontal crossbar.
  5. Children will throw small balls here. Give more points for hitting jars that have a smaller diameter.

This kind of entertainment is good to arrange on a hike, using jars you take with you that open with a ring so that their edges are not sharp. If you don't have balls, use crumpled up pieces of newspaper instead.

Similar outdoor activities can be made from empty plastic bottles. Place them tightly together in the released cardboard box. Let the children throw rings on them, competing in accuracy.

For the next unusual game you will need:

IN plastic containers cut off the bottom, if you wish, you can cover them with white acrylic paint. If not, then immediately attach strips of electrical tape to the bottom of the bottles. Moreover, one of them will cover the sharp cut, framing it on both sides. Now children can throw a ball to each other and catch it with such interesting devices.

Here are some other outdoor activities you can come up with using tin cans.

Color them. Let the child build a pyramid from this material, and then the children will compete in accuracy, trying to hit the balls into such a container.

If you drill holes in this material, but closer to the bottom, thread a strong rope here, and fasten it well, then you can make small stilts like this.

How to make a labyrinth with your own hands?

If the children are a little tired from active games, then offer them calmer ones, let the children rest. For the next one you need to use:

  • plastic or wooden tray with handles;
  • wooden sticks or cocktail straws;
  • glue;
  • small balls.
If you take wooden sticks, then you need to paint them first. If you use different colored cocktail sticks, don't do it. These materials must be placed horizontally, parallel to each other. In this case, some sticks need to be shortened, others left the same length. Attach them in such a way that there is a small gap in each row for the ball.

Speaking about how to make a labyrinth, it should be noted that it can be more voluminous.

Make one from strips of cardboard from a box. If you want to make a hamster maze, then use thin plywood. The child will be delighted with another cardboard maze, which boxes will help create.

Cut round holes in some places so that the baby can pass through. Connect the structure using tape. This is the kind of unusual game that awaits a child if parents show their imagination. Do not leave him here alone, as the child may panic if he cannot find a way out. So stand nearby, guide him in a calm voice, encourage him, praise him and support him.

Here's how to make a maze using cotton swabs.

For this you will need:
  • cotton buds;
  • glue;
  • sheet of cardboard;
  • colored paper;
  • small ball.
First you need to prepare the base, glue it to cardboard colored paper. Paint the cotton swabs or leave them as is. Stick it on the surface so that, by tilting the base, the child can drive the ball between them and direct it to the finish line. This end point of the journey can be made in the shape of a rainbow by cutting it out of cardboard. Place stripes on top different color or color with pencils.

To make it easier for you to create a maze, look at the following two diagrams, which show options for the location of its obstacles.

Unusual racing track for boys

Having shown ingenuity, parents will do highway for your beloved children in the country or right at home. Let's look at the street options first.

To implement this idea, take:
  • shovel;
  • cement;
  • sand;
  • water;
  • thin brush;
  • white oil paint.
Manufacturing instructions:
  1. First you need to mark the future route; to do this, outline the outline with a shovel, then using this tool, remove the turf to a depth of 7 cm.
  2. Pour a little sand here and moisten it. Pour a solution made from water, cement and sand on top. When it has completely hardened, it will turn white oil paint mark the road.
  3. Even before this, when the cement has set a little but remains pliable, you can lay small pebbles along the edge of the road. Attach half of the tire from the wheel to form a suspension bridge.
  4. Do crosswalk on the road, put up signs so that the child receives the first skills that will certainly be useful to him in life.

They can be studied not only on the street, but also at home. See what a beautiful multi-tiered driveway you can create with leftover toilet paper rolls.

Some of them need to be cut in half lengthwise, inserted into whole elements, secured with tape, thereby connecting the individual parts into a solid structure. A road is drawn on the floor with chalk, after which you can release the cars so that they rush along this race track like a breeze.

If there is little space on the floor, you can make unusual games on this theme right on the wall. To do this, you will need a magnetic road, then the cars will stick to it tightly.

Next race track the child will have it, thanks to his mother. The parent needs to prepare:
  • a piece of burlap or other dense flesh-colored fabric;
  • a piece of black fabric or wide braid of the same color;
  • white threads for embroidery.

On a rectangle of thick flesh-colored fabric, glue or sew black stripes in the form car paths. First, or at this stage, you need to embroider a dividing strip on them with white threads. The child will be happy to play here.

If you need to quickly keep your baby occupied or come up with new entertainment, then stick it on carpet covering tape in a contrasting color to turn it into a road.

If you are not afraid of damaging the sofa, then attach the electrical tape not only to the floor, but also here. The result will be a two-level racing track.

  1. If you are relaxing with your child at the seaside, he is bored on the beach, grab some paints here first.
  2. Find flat and voluminous stones. Some of them need to be turned into a highway, others into cars and buses that will travel along it.
  3. Color other stones with your child to make them small houses, traffic signs.

This way, out of practically nothing, you can create unusual games, thereby keeping your child occupied for some time. The main thing is to be smart or use ideas already proposed. If you want to see others, then watch the suggested videos.

The first one tells you how to make a fun toy that draws itself.

The second story will tell you how to quickly make an interesting game from waste materials that even a child can create.

This wooden mockup labyrinth is well suited for gaining experience and the necessary skills in working with wood for those who are just starting their journey in carpentry. In terms of use: the layout can turn into a homemade board game, if you have a couple of cubes and a desire to decorate the workpiece.

Materials:

  1. Graph paper
  2. Copy paper
  3. MDF 0.9 cm thick, with sides 22 cm by 28 cm
  4. Wooden strips 0.6 cm thick
  5. Adhesive tape
  6. Pencil and ruler
  7. Small steel ball
  8. Jigsaw
  9. Sanding boards or sandpaper 120 grit

Step 1: Design

Since we are just getting started, it is better to draw a labyrinth in simple style, without complex turns and partitions. Once we gain experience and practice, we can complicate the task by adding complex trajectories with many forks to the layout design.

Let's make a sketch.

Step 2: Details

We draw the walls of the labyrinth along with the holes for the ball.

Step 3: Transfer

Using graph paper, we transfer the drawing of the labyrinth onto MDF. Instead of circles, we make marks for the holes.

Step 4: Walls

We measure all the walls and use a table saw to cut out wooden strips with a margin (for the next step). Plywood works well for this.

Step 5: Cutouts

We cut the long strips into smaller pieces according to the size of the walls.

It is important to learn how to use different types drank. You can use tape or hand saw. And some people are better off starting with a jigsaw.

Step 6: Holes

Using a machine and a vice, we make holes along the marked lines.

If you have never worked with a machine before, and there are no assistants nearby, then you can do without these holes.

We sand the holes and wooden blocks sandpaper.

Step 7: Assembly

We glue all the components of the labyrinth according to the drawing.

Later, you can paint and decorate the walls of the labyrinth with material, and also draw cells for a homemade board game.

Traditionally, April is a non-travelling month: (Well, it’s not possible to go to nature in various reasons as often as I would like... But the soul asks for something new and unusual, even in the city. And there are such places. Probably, this post begins a series of descriptions of places where you can visit in Yekaterinburg and have fun. The first place we visited on April 13, 2015 was the Mobius ribbon labyrinth. The asking price is 200 rubles.

Since childhood, I have loved all sorts of labyrinths and all sorts of interesting things. In Yekaterinburg, on Weiner Street, there are as many as four sites under a “single wing”, among them there are labyrinths. We have visited only one so far - the ribbon one. There is about 30m2 of area and a ribbon is tied approximately every 10cm of the ceiling measurement. So you go through a lot of ribbons that are an obstacle.

You can't see anything at arm's length, and you literally walk by touch. And by general rule to find a way out of the maze - go along the left wall.

Let's go in. And so as not to lose each other, we hold hands. And in order to take a photo or simply free up space, I had to “rakes up” many, many tapes with my hands.

A bit of poetry. I googled what “mobius” is and what does tape have to do with it. It turns out that there is a so-called in nature. This is a mathematical surface that is visually similar to a closed spiral ribbon, i.e., simply put, a ring made of a spiral. Infinity sign " " (invented a little later) is very similar to the Möbius strip. The Möbius strip was discovered independently by German mathematicians August Ferdinand Möbius and Johann Benedict Listing in 1858. That is, the name is named after the discoverer.

Children will really like such a harmless, bright and varied labyrinth. We liked it - we're big kids, aren't we?!
