The valiant martyr, overshadowed by the grace of God, did not feel any heat and cried out: “I passed through fire and water, and brought us to rest” (Ps. 65: 12). At his prayer, the flames burst out and turned 150 idolaters standing nearby to ashes. The ruler fled, shouting to the guards to take the saint to prison.

Evening came, and Antipater, having talked with his advisers, ordered the martyr to be brought to retail space. At first he did not recognize Myron, his face shone so brightly, but the martyr assured that it was definitely him. Then Antipater made a decision: to cut off all the skin from the saint, from shoulders to legs, for belts. Myron was taken to prison and then given over to be devoured by beasts in the amphitheater. Having marked himself with the sign of the cross, he stood in front of the predators - and they did not dare to approach him, but showed respect, as if they were Adam before the Fall. A wild lioness was released against him - she came up, prostrated herself at the feet of the saint and gnawed his ropes. Then she spoke in a human voice to announce to the magistrate his approaching end. This miracle caused loud exclamations of surprise from those present. Antipater, in the face of so many miracles, fell into a frenzy and caused his own death with his own hands.

Saint Myron was then transported to Cyzicus and beheaded there, having previously shown the ruler his unshakable faith in God.
