Four-pipe fan coil units DF-QB-P4 series

DF-QB-P4 is a series of four-pipe cassette fan coils in an ultra-thin casing. The height of the case is only 250mm. Therefore, DF-QA-P4 fan coil units can be installed in limited space between the main and suspended ceiling. Minimum distance between the main and suspended ceiling corresponds to 330mm.

The standard configuration of four-pipe cassette fan coils includes the following devices:

The most simple circuit cooling supply - a scheme using 2-pipe fan coils. In this case, one pipe at a time water is coming to the fan coil units (forward flow), and through another pipe - water from the fan coil unit to the chiller (reverse flow). At the same time, as can be seen from the diagram, in this system the fan coils can work either all for heating or all for cooling. Actually, this monotony is the main disadvantage of the scheme with 2-pipe fan coils.

The only thing that can be done to simultaneously cool and heat is to organize two main risers. As you know, the southern part of the building always warms up more than the northern one, so during transition periods there may come a time when the southern side of the building still needs a cooling mode, and the northern side already needs a heating mode.

In this case, the building is divided into two zones, each of which has its own two-pipe riser. Goes to one riser cold water from the chiller, and in the other - hot water from the heating system.

All other methods of organizing simultaneous cooling and heating involve the use of 4-pipe fan coils.

4-pipe fan coils

The scheme with 4-pipe fan coils is a completely double-circuit scheme with two heat exchangers in each fan coil. Each fan coil heat exchanger is connected to its own system - one to a pipeline with cold water, the other - to the hot water pipeline.

Accordingly, without unnecessary loss of efficiency, some fan coil units can work for cooling, while the rest can work for heating. This system allows you to control the climate in the building with maximum flexibility and efficiency.
