Where R etc - maximum external concentrated load acting in the plane of the sash;
R G - horizontal (pull-out) force acting on the loop;
R V - vertical load (shear) acting on the hinge rod;
N- sash height;
IN- sash width;
A- the distance that determines the location of the loop in the block;
G- sash mass.
Design loads for a specific loop are calculated using the formulas:
R g r = π d st l nar k n [τ cm]; (3)
R in p =0.1 d st l n ap [σ cm], (4)
Where R g r
R in p
d st - diameter of the screw-in hinge rod;
l n ap - depth of cutting (thread);
k n - coefficient of completeness of thread cutting;
[ τ cm ] - the limiting value of stress that occurs in wood when it is crushed (tensile strength) across the fibers;
[ σ cm ] - the limiting value of stress (ultimate strength) that occurs in wood when it is crushed along the fibers.
The condition for selecting a loop is:P G R ³ P G ; P V R ³ P V .
When making calculations, it is necessary to take into account not only the weight and overall dimensions of a particular sash (leaf), but also the characteristics of the materials of the window (door) block.

INTERSTATE STANDARD HINGES FOR WINDOW AND DOOR UNITS TECHNICAL CONDITIONS
Hinges for windows and doors. Specifications
Group Zh34
Preface
The goals, basic principles and basic procedure for carrying out work on interstate standardization are established by GOST 1.0-92 "Interstate standardization system. Basic provisions" and MSN 1.01-01-96 "System of interstate regulatory documents in construction. Basic provisions."
Standard information
1. Developed by the institution "Center for Certification of Window and Door Technology" with the participation of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Central Design and Technological Bureau" of the Gosstroy of Russia, the company "Fiskars", Finland, and the company "Dr. Hahn", Germany, JSC "TBM".
2. Introduced by the Technical Committee for Standardization TC 465 "Construction".
3. Adopted by the Interstate Scientific and Technical Commission for Standardization, Technical Regulation and Certification in Construction (MNTKS) (Protocol No. 28 of October 13, 2005).
4. By order of the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology dated April 24, 2006 N 76-st, the interstate standard GOST 5088-2005 was put into effect as a national standard of the Russian Federation on January 1, 2007.
5. Instead of GOST 5088-94.
Application area
This standard applies to metal hinges (hereinafter referred to as hinges) used in window and door units made of various materials.
The standard does not apply to hinges installed on window and door units for special purposes, in terms of additional requirements for fire safety and burglary resistance.

Table 3
6.5. Periodic testing of products is carried out once every two years. Tests are carried out on samples that have passed acceptance control.
6.7. Type tests of products are carried out after changes are made to the design, materials or manufacturing technology to assess the effectiveness and feasibility of making changes.
The scope of type tests is determined by the nature of the changes made.
Products that have passed acceptance control are subjected to standard tests.
6.8. Qualification tests of products are carried out for all indicators when the product is put into production.
6.9. Certification and periodic tests are carried out in testing centers (laboratories) accredited for the right to conduct tests of these products.
6.10. Each batch of products must be accompanied by a quality document.
6.11. Acceptance of products by the consumer does not relieve the manufacturer from liability if hidden defects are discovered that lead to a violation of the performance characteristics of the products during the warranty period.
Control methods
7.1. The compliance of materials and components with the requirements of regulatory documents is established by comparing the indicators of the accompanying documents with the requirements of the RD for materials and components.
7.2. The dimensions of the loops and maximum deviations are determined with a universal tool, and software methods for controlling the technological process of manufacturing enterprises are also used.
7.3. The appearance of products, welds, completeness, presence of markings, packaging are checked visually for compliance with the requirements of this standard, design documentation and reference sample.
7.4. The quality of coatings is checked according to GOST 538; adhesion - GOST 15140; corrosion resistance of coatings - GOST 9.308, GOST 9.401.
7.5. The operation of the moving parts of the loop is checked manually, repeating the loop operation cycle at least five times.
7.6. Testing of products for failure-free operation, resistance to static and dynamic loads is carried out on special equipment(stands) according to agreed and approved programs and methods.
After testing, the loops should remain operational.
Transportation and storage
8.1. Loops are transported by all modes of transport in accordance with the rules for the carriage of goods in force for this type of transport.
8.2. During storage and transportation, the hinges are protected from exposure to atmospheric precipitation and protected from mechanical damage.
8.3. Storage conditions for products are according to group 2 of GOST 15150.
Installation and operating instructions
9.1. The choice of hinge design, the required number for installation on the window (door) block and installation should be carried out in accordance with the recommendations and calculation programs of the manufacturers.
9.2. The hinges should be installed in accordance with the installation instructions included in the delivery kit.
Installation of products should be done using special templates.
9.3. Lubrication and adjustment of the hinges during operation are carried out in accordance with the operating instructions included in the delivery kit.
manufacturer's warranty
10.1. The manufacturer guarantees that the hinges comply with the requirements of this standard, provided that the consumer complies with the rules of transportation, storage, installation, operation, as well as the scope of application established in the regulatory and design documentation.
