  • Smartphone Jinga Basco M500 3G (OC Android 5.1, MediaTek MT6580 processor, 4 x 1300 MHz, Mali-400 MP2 video coprocessor, 1 GB RAM).

Beginning of work

When you first launch the ACR utility, we should confirm responsibility for recording phone calls, add the program to exceptions to avoid its auto-disabling, and also confirm the application's privacy policy and some other conditions. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to use the program without this, so be careful what you confirm with virtual ticks.

After this we are taken to the main screen of the application. It is divided into four sections namely: All, Inbox, Outbox and IMPORTANT. Logically, you should have already understood that our records are posted there. Naturally, when you first turn it on, they are not there, so if you make a couple of calls or wait for them, ACR will complete the task.

A notification in the status bar will remind us that the application is running in the background. At the same time, the conversation will be recorded automatically, that is, we will never forget to press anything - everything has already been done for us. By the way, during a conversation, you can click on the notification and stop recording if we understand that we certainly won’t need it.

Finished records are placed in the main menu and can be sorted according to four parameters, and next to the record all the necessary information is displayed, that is, the contact name, his number, the date and time of the call, the duration and size of the finished file. At the bottom of the screen, some statistics are kept, displaying the total number of entries in a particular category and the occupied storage space.

If we talk about settings, there are quite a lot of them in the ACR call recording mobile application and they are all neatly sorted into categories. We will not talk about all the settings; we will only note the standout functions.

This program has quite interesting parameters that allow you to correctly arrange files and not have any junk. In the settings, you can set the program not to record short files, so that it deletes files after a certain number of days, so that certain records are recorded or not recorded. All of the above is highly customizable, there are exceptions for any situation and various sub-clauses.

ACR has 12 call recording formats, including FLAC, FLAC-HQ, MP4, 3GP, WAV and others. Of course, to get a super-quality recording, you must have an appropriate smartphone, or rather its microphone. For those who are budget-conscious, I recommend 3GP and AMR, for those who appreciate WAV quality, and a good mid-range option is M4A, selected by default, or MP4. You need to experiment with other formats specifically on your device.

The application supports synchronization of recordings with online storages, but bad luck - the free version of the program does not have such a function. There are also many settings for uploading records.

Testing

In order to work with the utility, you need to acquire the most basic device based on OS Android 2.3, or better yet OS Android 5.0 or newer, since version 2.3 does not support all the features of this program.

Immediately after installation and quick setup I made a call to ACR, and the program worked without any problems. During a week of testing, no obvious bugs or shortcomings were found.

In operating mode, the utility consumes about 60-80 MB of RAM, depending on specific actions and many other factors. And during background operation, it takes up to 20 MB of RAM, that is, it practically does not load the mobile device, as well as the CPU, a maximum of 1-2%.
