Installation and operation procedure
- Safety requirements for installation and operation - GOST 12.2.063.
- Before installation, it is necessary to clean (blow out compressed air) supply pipeline from contaminants and mechanical particles (scale, chips, pieces of electrodes, etc.).
- The direction of flow in the pipeline must coincide with the “ ” mark on the valve body.
- The filter can be installed on both horizontal and vertical pipelines.
- To seal the threads at the junction of the valve body with the pipeline, it is recommended to use fluoroplastic tape FUM or a similar sealing material. Installation of flange connections is carried out using gaskets made of medium-hard MBS rubber (Fig. 9-1). The counter flanges are welded steel according to GOST 12820-80 (Fig. 9-2).
- Tightening force:
- 20±5 N.m (for bolts with M10 thread);
- 25±5 N.m (for bolts with M12 thread);
- 30±5 N.m (for bolts with M16 thread).
- Deviations from parallelism and perpendicularity of the sealing surfaces of the attached flanges should not exceed 0.2 mm per 100 mm diameter.
- To connect pressure sensors or other devices and instruments, the filter housing has holes with a G1/4 thread. To seal the threads at the point where the devices are connected, use fluoroplastic tape FUM or a similar sealing material.
Maintenance
- During operation, the filter resistance gradually increases as a result of its contamination.
- The criterion for filter contamination is considered to be a decrease in pressure behind the filter below that permissible for a gas burner device at normal connecting pressure at the filter inlet.
- The filter element should be cleaned by blowing with compressed air or washing in water using detergents.
- It is recommended to dry the filter element naturally or by blowing it with compressed air at a temperature of no more than +90 degrees Celsius.
Designed to purify gas from mechanical particles to increase the reliability and durability of gas equipment.
Both coupling and flange gas filters FN DN 15 - 50 in an aluminum casing is used in housing and communal services systems in front of gas meters and in furnace systems in front of shut-off and control valves of gas burner devices of boilers, heat generators, infrared heaters and other gas combustion installations with a small unit capacity.
Flange gas filters FN DN 25 - 100 in an aluminum housing are mainly installed on gas pipelines.

Installation and operation procedure
- Safety requirements for installation and operation in accordance with GOST 12.2.063.
- Before installing the filter, clean the supply pipe from contamination.
- The direction of flow in the pipeline must coincide with the arrow on the valve body.
- The filter can be installed on both horizontal and vertical pipelines.
- To seal the flange connection of the filter housing with the pipeline, it is recommended to use an O-ring in accordance with GOST 9833 or a paronite gasket in accordance with GOST 15180. Pipeline mating flanges in accordance with GOST 12820.
- Deviations from parallelism and perpendicularity of the sealing surfaces of the attached flanges should not exceed
- For DN 25-200 – 0.2 mm per 100 mm diameter;
- For DN 250.300 – 0.3 mm per 100 mm diameter
- To connect a pressure switch sensor or other devices and instruments, the filter housing has holes with a G1/4 thread (except for filters on DN 25,40 and 50). To seal the threads at the connection points of the devices, use fluoroplastic tape FUM or a similar sealing material.
