High dragons dragon age inquisition. Dragon Age: Inquisition - new generation dragons

Date of publication: 01/05/2015 17:24:46

IN Dragon Age: Inquisition you can meet as many as 10 high dragons, and finding them is not as easy as it might seem. And guides in text form, unfortunately, are sometimes not very clear. Therefore, it was decided to make a video instruction for those who thirst for the blood of dragons! This video acts as a menu that allows you to select exactly the location in which you are looking for a huge lizard, and after clicking, you will be transferred to the video you need, in general, this is the first interactive guide to finding dragons.

True, I would advise you to attack dragons after you reach level 14-15, otherwise even the weakest lizard will kill you.

Well, so that this post is not empty, I will also describe all the dragons separately, and we will start with the smallest!

Ferelden Frostback Level 12

Located in the very first location - Hinterlands, you can find it if you go northeast from Sunset Camp. On the way to the big dragon, I advise you to avoid the small ones, as the big one constantly circles around your squad and shoots fire. I experienced first-hand what happens to those who don’t listen to this advice.

It is a fire lizard and does not tolerate cold well.

Northern Hunter level 13

Located in Crestwood, southwest of the Three Trout Farm camp. I advise you to destroy all living creatures in the area, if there is at least anyone near the dragon, otherwise while I was valiantly fighting the dragon, a bison attacked me and ruined the whole hunt.

The dragon is electric, and has a vulnerability to spirit magic.

Abyssal High Dragon level 14

Located in the location - Western Limit, in the southwest. In order to meet this dragon, you have to complete a series of tasks from a fellow named Frederick. He can be found near the camp at Nazer Pass. The tasks are not difficult and do not require any hints, so I think you can cope without any problems.

This dragon is a fire dragon, and as a result, it is vulnerable to cold!

Gamordan Stormrider level 15

Lives in the northeast of the location Sacred Plain. In order to get close to this little beast, you need to clear a passage on the command table, and then we go to the very end of the swamps.

Another electric animal, but a little unusual - it can electrify water, so be careful, or you will be in trouble. Resistant to electricity, but vulnerable to spirit magic.

The Greater Mistral level 17

This lizard settled in a location called Emerald Graves. You can find it far to the north, if you go from the camp in Kamenzhuti.

He prefers fire, is afraid of cold - go for it guys.

Vinsomer level 19

This dragon is located in the location - Stormy Coast. In order to find him, you have to storm the fortress at the Mouth of Darwin in the west - where it is located, you can see in the video. As soon as you slaughter the entire population of this fortress, at the very end a boat will appear in front of you, approaching which you will go to Dragon Island.

Winsomer is vulnerable to spirit magic, resistant to electricity and, as a result, uses it.

Sandy Howler Level 20

Found in the Whistling Wastes location, far west of the Sand Cliffs camp. What’s remarkable is that when you find a reptile, it will sleep soundly!

When you wake her up, she will spit fire at you, but at the same time react very sharply to cold attacks. She also calls little dragons to help her.

With the next three players it is somewhat more difficult, because it seemed unreasonable to me to show them all at once on the first map! It was decided to make a separate submenu for them:

Well, now, to the dragons themselves:

Hivernal (Level 19)]

One of the weakest dragons in the Emprise du Lyon location. In order to gain access to it, you need to build a bridge, having given instructions for this at the command headquarters. Be in the first coliseum you come across.

Kaltenzhan level 21

Middle brother in Emprise du Lyon. In order to gain access to it, you need to build a bridge, having given instructions for this at the command headquarters. Be in the second coliseum.

Loves the cold and is afraid of fire. The video clearly shows that against him you need to take magicians with the fire element into your squad, otherwise the magician will be of almost no use. Calls for help in the form of little dragons.

Highland Ravager level 23

The most powerful dragon in Emprise du Lyon. In order to gain access to it, you need to build a bridge, having given instructions for this at the command headquarters. Be in the third coliseum.

He prefers fire and is afraid of cold, so feel free to take Vivien with you. Calls for help in the form of little dragons.

Honestly, this is my first experience in compiling guides of this kind, and guides in general. Therefore, criticism, and especially advice, is welcome.

Thank you for your attention.

Ah, well, yours is a little different =)

p.s. Although it is possible that I found it before it was mentioned, I say by chance

Isn't this one of the caves that opens after you find the scroll?

High Dragon - Achieved full maturity female dragon. These huge winged monsters, conquering the skies and burning all living things in their path, are legendary and the rarest of all existing dragons.

In the Dragon Age series, fights with a dragon have always been very difficult and dangerous. To defeat this flying monster, strong tactics and the ability to control the entire group were required. And now in more detail. There are ten high dragons left in Thedas, and for completing the game we are obliged to get to know each one (if, of course, we want a wonderful achievement for ourselves “ Storm of Dragons»)

Ferelden Hellebore

The first dragon most players encounter. This dragon settled well in the Inner Lands and began to bear offspring. We, as heroes, are obliged to prevent this, and, naturally, the reward for killing the monster is quite good.
Dragon characteristics:
Attack type: fire
Vulnerable to cold
The battle itself is not difficult, but the dragon often takes off and begins to call on its children to help them, who calmly slaughter the unwary archer or magician.
In battle, you should be wary of its fiery breath and, naturally, its huge paws and tail. When you reduce his health to zero, the dragon will fall and leave you his treasure (we search the skull) [Achievement 1\10]

Dragon's Nest

Winsomer

Our next goal will be very angry, because we will prevent the dragon from enjoying the giant's meat and interrupt their amazing fight. The dragon is located on the Storm Coast, on the Isle of Dragons. You can get there by boat from the Mouth of Derwin (opened by the quest “Red Waters”). This strong enemy will create a sea of obstacles for you before you get what you cherish.
Attack type: electricity
Vulnerable to spirit
You should be afraid of the dragon's energy balls, the damage they do is terribly high. In close combat, the dragon does not show itself to be such a formidable opponent. The only danger is his energy attacks, watch out for magicians and archers. Don't forget about pauses, control, jars and this monster will bow to you. [Achievement 2\10]

Dragon's Nest

Deep High Dragon

You can find the “Deep High Dragon” in the Western Reach location. For the dragon to come out, you need to go through an interesting chain of quests to hunt dragons. This dragon is used to living in warmth and comfort, I’m afraid he won’t like it when we throw ice magic at him.
Attack type: fire
Vulnerable to Ice
The battle takes place as usual. The tank tries not to let go of the boss, the close-range damage cuts its paws, the distant one stands as far away as possible, because the dragon often likes to please the team with a fireball. She will also interfere with you in every possible way with her paws and tail, but don’t forget about her wings! The terrible currents of wind created by the flapping of huge wings can spoil your picture quite well. [Achievement 3\10]

Dragon's Nest

Gamordan Stormrider (formerly Gamoran Stormrider)

The search for him should begin on the Sacred Plains in Raven Marsh.
His nest is located in a pond and this is a huge advantage in his favor. The dragon has an electric attack, which water carries out quite well.
Attack type: electricity
Weakness to spirit
In battle, the dragon behaves normally. It attacks with its paws and tail, and sometimes starts chasing a random target from our group. Occasionally, the dragon uses water against us, transferring through it electric charge enormous power. If the heroes stand in the water, they will receive considerable damage and be stunned, so try to spend most of the time on land. Further according to standard tactics: we damage the paw, drink jars, microcontrol, active use of spells and skills. The result is that the dragon is defeated! [Achievement 4\10]

Dragon's Nest

Great Mistral

This dragon isn't that hard to find, but it's the one I spent the most time looking for.
Mistral is an ice dragon that lives in the Emerald Cave. To find it, you need to move from the Stone of Terror (which is located not far from the small camp of the criminal that Kasandra is chasing in the quest) to the north. There you will see a huge, beautiful dragon, who will not appreciate your visit and will decide to drive away the uninvited guests.
Attack Type: Ice
Vulnerable to fire
To reduce the dragon's damage, you need to increase your protection from ice. In close combat, the dragon torments you with sharp claws and a huge tail. He also creates wind currents with the help of his wings. When the dragon becomes enraged, it freezes its body and creates an armor bar on top of its health. In flight he releases ice balls, in order to dodge, use tactical controls. The battle with this high dragon can last a long time, so stock up on healing potions and other supplies. When his health drops to zero, the dragon will disappear into oblivion and leave behind only a memory and a beautiful drop. This is how we are getting closer and closer to clearing the world of Dragons and obtaining the long-awaited achievement. [Achievement 5\10]

Dragon's Nest

Northern Hunter

Our next high dragon lives in Crestwood. This dragon was my first and left a lot of pleasant and unpleasant memories. In my opinion, the fight with this dragon was the most difficult. Perhaps because he was the first, and I did not have enough experience in fighting such monsters, my level was very low, and my clothes left much to be desired. But still, with blood and sweat, with the strength given to us, I overpowered him, and so began my hunt for dragons.
Attack type: electricity
Vulnerable to spirit
Keep an eye on your mages and robbers, because they are the ones who become sweet targets for the electro-sphere, which can kill almost any hero in a matter of seconds. You should also be wary of his attacks with his paws and tail, but also don’t forget about the dragon’s breath. After a ton of cans for health, a hundred skills used and a couple of deaths, our dragon will finally give up and leave you a sweet bonus in the form of new things. [Achievement 6\10]

Dragon's Nest

Sand Mourner

To find this Dragon, go to the Whistling Wasteland location and, starting from the first camp, go up the right edge of the map. Soon you will see beautiful entrance between the mountains, this will be the passage to our sleeping dragon. Carefully approach the monster, without waking it up ahead of time, and start attacking with your tank.
Attack type: fire
Vulnerable to Ice
This Dragon has strong legs and often likes to flap her wings. To break through its scales you will have to try hard, since the dragon often covers its health with armor. You won't be able to relax in this battle; the Dragon can take off and instantly crash on any of your heroes. Use jars, control all the heroes and don’t forget about the pause, and this fiery beast will fall at your feet. [Achievement 7\10]

Dragon's Nest

Hivernal

To fight this icy beauty, we need to repair the bridge in Emprise du Lyon. The dragon cannot stand the heat and often likes to refresh the entire team with its icy breath.
Attack type: ice
Vulnerable to fire
During the battle, it is worth protecting the tank as much as possible from ice attacks, otherwise the battle will be fast. Other heroes actively use fire magic and cause damage with all possible ways. During the battle, the Dragon will decide to rest a little, spreading its mighty wings and flying into the heavenly heights.
In this location, after capturing the fortress, there is a quest for all the dragons; before you go hunting, don’t forget to take it. [Achievement 8\10]

Dragon's Nest

Kaltenzan

This high dragon can be easily found on the second tower after crossing the bridge (quest beacon shown). The fights with the two dragons are pretty similar and easy, so we won't say much here, let's get down to business.
Attack Type: Ice
Vulnerable to fire
The dragon is very active on the battlefield and constantly jumps from side to side. The slightest obstacle to killing him will be his breathing and his fierce desire to survive, but when the dragon realizes her inevitable fate, she will call on her offspring to help. Get rid of the help as quickly as possible! It is the little dragons that are the whole problem of this battle. Percent by percentage, the Dragon's health will drop to zero and he will finally be defeated. Last goal, here we go! [Achievement 9\10]

Dragon's Nest

Highland Destroyer

Here it is, the last battle! Are you already excited? Be sure to save!!! The achievement may not be given the first time and then you will have to repeat killing the dragon.
We will find this monster in the third amphitheater behind the bridge, however, the mark on the map according to the assignment will help you.
Attack type: fire
Vulnerability to Ice
This dragon is a huge threat! Throughout the entire battle, he will protect himself with armor and constantly summon his children, who have considerable damage, and it is not so easy to kill them. Here are some dangerous factors during the battle: jumping attack, stun, summoning small dragons, fire breath, fireballs at points (mortar principle). All this can take away your victory. I was lucky to kill this monster the first time, but at the end of the battle the monster killed my Bull with one blow. The fight lasted about five minutes and the fiery queen surrendered. Drop, achievement, applause for the winners. [Achievement 10\10]

Dragon's Nest

In Game Dragon Age: Inquisition has ten high dragons, relating to three elements: fire, ice and electricity. Each of them has its own vulnerabilities, tactics and resilience. There are also two story dragons in the game, which will be discussed separately.

Open World Dragons:

  1. Ferelden Frostbite. Lives in the Hinterlands in Lady Shayna's Valley. This is a level 12 fire dragon. He is most sensitive to cold damage, so it will be useful to take companions into battle who can deal damage to them. From other characteristics, we can add that this dragon is a flying one, and also calls upon its cubs. Looking at the level it may seem that it is the easiest, and to some extent this is true. However, the forgedness lies precisely in his tactics. He almost never lands. Having received a certain amount of damage, he flies to the second sublocation. There he periodically calls upon his cubs. It rarely descends to the ground, preferring to sit on ledges and trees. He also simply loves to attack from the air with fire, so as soon as you see that a fireball has separated from him, immediately take the squad away. These balls also continue to burn for some time, causing fire damage to the attacker. When the dragon has less than 20% health left, it will land on a cliff, where it will have to be finished off.
  2. Northern Hunter. Lives in Crestwood near the Three Trout Farm. This is a level 13 electric dragon. This is one of the lightest dragons: it does not fly, does not increase armor, and does not summon cubs. The only difficulty may be the Static Cage, which he loves to throw. You should be especially careful if animals pass nearby. The damage dealt by a Static Cage makes them immediately hostile, which can make the fight more difficult. The Northern Hunter is resistant to electricity, but vulnerable to spirit magic, so if your companions have weapons that deal damage with this element, feel free to take them into your squad.
  3. Deep High Dragon. Lives in the Western Reach. To fight her, you will have to complete the dragonologist's quest chain. This is a level 14 fire dragon. Not the most complex dragon - it doesn’t fly, doesn’t summon cubs, but builds up armor. It is worth hiding behind strong shelters, as it destroys others.
  4. Gamordan Buregon. Lives on the Sacred Plains, in swamps. To fight him, you will first need to open access to the swamps. This is a level 15 electric dragon. Doesn't summon cubs, but flies and builds up armor. The main difficulty is the lack of cover and water, which he actively uses against the squad.
  5. Great Mistral. Lives in the Emerald Graves north of the Eerie Stones (or Eerie Stones). This is a level 17 ice dragon. Flies, increases armor, does not summon cubs. In general, the tactics are similar to those against other flying dragons. The dragon is sensitive to fire, so if one of your companions has a weapon enchanted by this element, it would be a good idea to take it with you. But the creature is immune to cold, so ice staves and cold-enchanted weapons are completely useless.
  6. Winsomer. Lives on the dragon island near the Storm Coast. This is a level 19 electric dragon. Doesn't fly or summon cubs, but builds up armor. The main difficulty is the small size of the battlefield, where there is nowhere to hide and maneuver, so the main help will be “tanks” wielding a sword and shield.
  7. Sandy Weeper. Lives in the Whistling Wastes near the main entrance to Fairel's tomb. This is a level 20 fire dragon. He is sleeping, so you can enter the tomb without passing him. Doesn't fly, doesn't increase armor, but summons cubs. As with Winsomer, the small size of the arena as well as the cubs complicate matters.
  8. Hivernal and Kaltenzan. Two ice dragons, level 19 and 21, respectively. They live in Emprise du Lyon. Access to them opens after the restoration of the bridge. Both fly, and the second one also calls for cubs. Like the Gamordan Storm, it uses water against the group - those closest to the point of impact of the ice “projectile” take damage from the cold.
  9. Highland Destroyer. Fire dragon level 23. Lives in Emriz-du-Lyon. Doesn't fly, but builds up armor and summons cubs. Difficulties are created by the small size of the arena (the battle takes place in a cave), cubs and fire mines that the dragon places in places largest accumulation squad members.

Quest Dragons (Warning: SPOILERS!):

  1. Guardian Mythal. The first of the plot dragons. Found in the quest “The Last Act” if the Inquisitor drank from the Source of Sorrow. If Morrigan drank, he will not exist. This is a level 22 fire dragon. To defeat him, it is enough to remove half his health. After this, the dragon flies away. Defeating him is necessary to obtain the "On Wings of Fire" achievement.
  2. Red Dragon. He appears three times throughout the story, starting with the quest "It Will Burn in Your Hearts", where he destroys the Vault. His next appearance is in the quest “There Lies the Abyss”, where he seriously wounds Guardian Commander Clarel. His last appearance occurs in the final quest “Marvel the Perfection,” where you can fight him. This is a level 23 lyrium dragon. At the beginning of the battle he will have half health. It is vulnerable to electricity, does not fly, does not summon cubs, but builds up armor. Appears after the first victory on Corypheum. Once he is defeated, the final battle with the Elder will take place.
  1. Issue commands to squads in “manual” mode.
  2. Be especially careful about rogues armed with daggers - they specialize in close combat, but cannot build up armor like warriors. Because of this, they most often “lie down” first.
  3. The Iron Bull, although he enjoys fighting a dragon, is not the most suitable warrior for this. Cassandra or Blackwall would be much better options. An Inquisitor with a sword and shield can also be a “tank”.
  4. The fight with the Sand Weeper can be avoided altogether if it is not awakened by companions or one of the predators.
  5. For fighting dragons there are special runes against dragons. They are the most preferred for combat. If they are not there, then strengthening with an element to which the dragon is vulnerable will do.
