How to make a big snow slide. Winter fun: How to properly fill a slide

Winter has come! There was snow...... I was walking with my daughter and realized that something was missing!... Well, of course, roller coasters! Winter has come!
There is snow......
I was walking with my daughter and realized that something was missing!…. Well, of course, slides!

And so, I gathered my neighbors - dads. We picked up shovels and did two useful things:

  1. Entertainment for kids - snow slide.
  2. Cleaned up the parking lot.

Now about how it all happened:

1. Necessary tools

- shovels;

— a scraper for clearing snow (not necessary, but it makes life easier, I even have wheels, for cleaning the garage);

- spray bottle;

- watering can;

- bucket;

- hands.

2. Choosing a location

When choosing a location, special attention was paid to two things: safety and lighting, i.e. a place where children, when driving down the mountain, will not fall under the wheels of cars, and which is illuminated in the dark.

3. Direct construction of the mountain

After choosing a place, we asked the owners of the cars parked nearby to temporarily move them and make room for us. After there were no cars left on the site near the planned location, using the above tools (namely shovels, scrapers and hands), they cleared the parking lot, “storing” the snow in the designated location down the hill.
The result was a blank slide. After which it must be compacted.
If the snow is “sticky”, then you can form a slide without shovels, and roll up snow lumps (balls). Place them together in several layers, fill the gaps with snow, and, as in the first case, compact them.
They did not make the slide high enough to make it more comfortable for mothers. The result was 1.5 meters. In addition, three pieces of old plywood were laid on the upper platform for descent (actually, what was not a pity) so that it would not be slippery to stand on top.

4. Creating a “track”

After constructing the mountain, it is necessary to make a “track”, “path”, “descent” (whatever you like), along which the children will slide down.
It wasn't difficult. After which the descent was also compacted. At the same time, the angle of descent was made minimal (taking into account the fact that our children are 1-3 years old), 25-30 degrees.

5. First layer of ice

The first layer is probably the most important, i.e. we form the surface of the descent, the angles of inclination and turns.
So for this, the simplest home sprayer for spraying flowers was used. They poured warm water into it (precisely warm, so that it would not freeze immediately) and sprayed the entire descent.
Left to freeze for about an hour.

6. Install the plywood platform

While the descent was freezing, they made a plywood platform (see point 3)

7. Fill the slide with water

Using a garden watering can, we watered the entire slope and sides of the slide again. warm water, which allows you to make the ice smoother and avoid unevenness. But not hot, otherwise everything will melt. Then we left the slide overnight so that it “set.”

In the morning, with a broad gesture, they threw several buckets of water on her (to secure it).

9. Make steps on the slide

Steps were made on the back side of the slide, using old wooden slats(to avoid slipping). It was possible to make handrails, but we couldn’t find the material.

So, the next day the slide was ready and tested (to the cheerful cry of the children) by the dads. Three have a fun day the kids couldn't be picked up from the slide. We rode on butts, legs, plywood, etc., and one of the dads even brought out an inflatable ring, like in a water park. The children woke up and asked to go outside...

What would winter be without snow slides, ice sculptures and snowdrifts! On a frosty winter day you just want to grab an ice cube and run for a ride. fresh air, but often there may not be an ice slide nearby at all. It is not surprising that many are interested in how to build a snow slide with their own hands without outside help. This is a real joy not only for children of any age, but also for adults. Let's look at several ways to properly build and fill a snow slide with water so that it freezes.

Choosing a place in the yard

Let's first figure out what kind of slides even exist, and what type of snow structure you can build in your yard.

Types of slides:

The ideal place is a play area where children are used to spending time. Here are some tips on where a children's slide should be located:

  • In a safe area away from the roadway and also from pedestrian paths;
  • In an open area, so that riding is free and easy;
  • Far from various buildings, structures, pillars, trees and other plantings. The sliding should occur smoothly until it comes to a complete stop;
  • The slope should be gentle and not too steep (the optimal angle of the high part is 40-50 degrees);
  • The rollout must be directed onto a flat area, without obstacles or protrusions, so that children do not get injured;
  • The place should be well lit in the evening, since riding with flashlights is not only inconvenient, but also unsafe.

Choosing a size and preparing inventory

It is important to remember that the higher you plan to build a snow slide, the more free area there should be for a smooth descent. Let's consider the basic requirements for their production:

  1. The top of the slide must be fenced with sides at least 40 centimeters high. This is done to protect against accidental falls and stability if the sole slips;
  2. The stairs to the top must be non-slip and non-steep (the dimensions of the steps in depth and height are 20*20 cm). It will be useful to sprinkle the steps with sand, but not too much, as it will fall on the slope and slow down the movement;
  3. The ratio of the height of the slide to the length of the entire descent should be in the proportions of 1:6;
  4. The width of the slide depends on the intended purpose: for small children, for tubing, for skating alone or together in a crowd, etc.

The most best time for the construction of the structure - a clear sunny day, since during the day there is a slight thaw, and at night the frost gets stronger. It is easier to work with slightly damp and pliable snow, and at night the result will consolidate itself.

What tools are needed:

  • Warm mittens and gloves to protect your hands (it is advisable to wear rubber gloves on top);
  • Large metal shovels;
  • Broom;
  • Metal buckets, ladles and watering cans;
  • Sprayers, atomizers or rubber hoses;
  • Unnecessary rags and mops;
  • Flat hard devices (table tops, long plywood, boards, etc.) for leveling snow on the slope;
  • Wide spatula or construction scraper;
  • Quick access to water.

Remember: you should only use it to form a structure pure snow! It should also not contain foreign objects: stones, sticks, branches, leaves, etc.

The video below shows how you can build a snow slide with your own hands in kindergarten or the yard of your home.

We begin to sculpt a snow slide

Once you have decided on the location and dimensions of the structure, prepared all the equipment and called in assistants, you can safely get to work:

If desired, you can use a ready-made frame, for example, wooden stairs, railings, shields, boards, table tops and even car tires which are subsequently covered with snow.

Let's start filling

Filling is the most important stage; here it is important not to spoil all the work done. The main thing is to never use slides for flooding. warm water– it will only leave holes in the snow and melt it. The water should be ice cold - mixed with snow in a metal bucket.

Filling options:

  1. Squirting out garden watering can or hose;
  2. Pouring water onto a wide shovel and then onto the mountain slope itself;
  3. Place a wet cloth on the surface of the slope;
  4. Pouring on the hill ice water from a bucket of snow, compacted and sanded with spatulas.

All hills, irregularities and defects are knocked down and leveled until the structure accepts the required form. The shape should “set” overnight, and the very next day you can try out the slide and ride it with your friends!

We took skis and sleds into our hands -

And off we went for a ride.

On a winter day, in the frost, in the morning

A snowy mountain is waiting for us.

New Year's holidays are the best time for winter street fun. Well, isn’t it great to go out with the whole family after breakfast and roll around in the soft snowdrifts, create a fun mess on the hill, scream, laugh, so much so that the neighboring kids come running?! If you don't have an ice slide in your yard, now is the time to build one! And it doesn’t matter where you live - in your own house or in a multi-story building - there will always be a place and grateful children, the main thing is that there is material - snow. A lot of snow.

Benefits for health and soul

Skiing down the mountains in winter is an old Russian pastime that not only children, but also adults, or rather young people, indulged in. Well, or those who considered themselves young. Merchants, peasants and even portly ladies - no one was ashamed of hooting down the hill. Peter I especially loved such fun: he personally participated in the opening of the main slides in the capital and did not disdain to share the fun with the walking people. Moreover, for each new season he demanded a new sled for sledding. They say that in those days there was a tradition - to ride down the mountain in pairs and kiss tightly after each successful descent. It’s no wonder that young people loved this fun, because everyone tried to invite the object of their adoration as a couple.

Sliding down a slide is an unforgettable experience that a person carries throughout his life. After all, on a slide, a child gets to know his body in a new way. When you slide down a slide on your stomach, butt or legs, the “ground disappears from under your feet.” And you need to learn to control yourself in other conditions.

Downhill skiing develops reaction speed and trains the vestibular system. In active games and for adults, a slide is great way disperse blood throughout the body, and also an excellent opportunity for contact with your child.

So, if nature has not deprived your region of rich snow cover this year, then without hesitation, start building an ice slide!

Making a slide

If the decision has been made, then it’s time to start turning it into reality. So what will need to be done?

Place for a slide

First you need to choose the right place for the future slide. Pay attention to safe open areas, which are located far from the road, trees, walls of houses, ponds, bushes, etc. The descent must be free and nothing should hinder it.

If there is a natural slope nearby, this will make your job easier. If not, you will have to create it yourself. To do this, invite your neighbors who also have children to help. This will speed up the process and make your work easier. Well, it will be more fun.

To create an artificial slope, start by piling snow into one large pile. If the snow is heavy, then throwing it will, of course, be more difficult, but this will make the process of forming a slide easier.

Slope formation

Have you added enough snow? Climb onto the pile and begin to trample and crush it, gradually forming a path down. If the snow is loose, then thoroughly water the snow preparation cold water from a watering can. It is important that the water spreads evenly, so it is better to take a watering can with a spray nozzle.

Now you can add snow again, slowly changing the contour of the slide to the one you need. Try to make the path for sliding long enough - at least 5 meters. At the top of the slide, trample a wide platform, and with reverse side arrange a descent with a steepness of 55-65 degrees. This is a preparation for future steps. And the slope on which children (and not only) will ride should be 35-45 degrees. The steeper the angle, the sharper the sensation, but to make such a slide, you will have to throw a very large pile. Therefore, try to form a gentle, smooth descent.

Sides and steps

Be sure to add sides to the slide. To do this you need to "cut" upper layer snow, leaving a border around the edges.

Form the steps. Start cutting the snow from top to bottom. Flatten the snow with a shovel, then compact it with your feet. The optimal width of one step is 45 cm. Do not water the steps with water! Otherwise, it will be impossible to climb them. To ensure safe lifting, you need to make sides, for example, from old wooden slats.

Fill

If you want to make a high-quality slide, then leave your structure for a day so that the snow settles. And even better - for 2 days.

When the time required for the snow to shrink has passed, return to the slide with water. If it is possible to remove the hose, then it is better to do so. If you are placing a slide in the yard apartment building, again contact your neighbors whose window is closer. I think they will not refuse and will allow you to extend the hose.

Prepare a shovel. Water the top of the slide with water and trim the surface. During pouring, pits may appear. They must be compacted with snow until they are equal to the general surface of the slide.

Fill the horizontal path with an even layer of water. The longer it is, the greater the distance future riders will glide.

It is important to form a smooth surface immediately after dousing the snow with water. Otherwise, it will “grab” and you will have to cut off the ice and smooth out the unevenness.

Roll the slide several times at short intervals so that the ice has time to bind the surface of the slope.

Area

Design the area where the skaters will land. Free it from stones, branches, snags. Throw in a thick layer of snow and trample it down. And, of course, fill the path that continues down the hill, but we have already talked about this.

Well, now the slide is ready to “bring happiness” to you and your children. Just sprinkle sand or small pebbles on the steps before you climb them. Spend more time with your kids and enjoy your ride!

At our dacha there is no natural slope next to the house. Therefore, every winter, in New Year holidays we are building ice slide, as they say, from scratch. The matter is not so difficult, but the pleasure from the result is enormous. Not only children, but also all adults ride.

Only this year we learned that not everyone knows how to build and fill a slide. To put it simply, they are just lazy. Most often, people are looking for a natural slope that they can “roll out”. And only if the children ask. How long has it been since you, adults, rode with ice mountain? You say the age is not the same anymore? And you leave all the stereotypes imposed by society and just try! This is real adult winter therapy for bad mood and blues!

Let's start construction. Progress.

However, let's get back to the main thing. Construction begins from that very slope, which, in our case, is not nearby. If you are in the same situation, then you will have to do a little shoveling. The right weather, in this case, will make things much easier. The correct one is when the snow is sticky and heavy. Take some snow in your hand and squeeze it into a ball. Stuck together? This means that it will be much easier to form a slope and build steps for the future slide.

So, let’s build an “artificial” mountain, the higher the better (keep in mind that later the hill will settle considerably). We trample, crush, and again pour snow on top. Will help to compact loose snow in cold weather cold water. The main thing is not to overdo it (use a watering can with a spray nozzle).

Then we proceed to forming the steps and slope. Try to make the slope level. Be sure to take care of the sides along its edges so as not to fly off the slide to the side. At the top of the slide there should be a large enough flat area so that even a large person can easily fit, without fear of sliding somewhere to the side or backwards even before descending from the mountain. The snow on the slope, top and steps should be dense, press it down well.

Look at the result. Beauty, isn't it? All that remains is to make our slide ice-cold.

Filling.

It is better to start pouring the next day or the day after formation. The weather we need for this is immediately before severe frost or already upon its onset.

We fill the watering can with a spray nozzle and begin to carefully and evenly water the slope. The amount of water depends on how big your slide is and how long your slope is.

Fill the horizontal extension of the slide (it should also have sides). Smooth out any uneven surfaces immediately before the wet snow sets and turns into ice.

1. First of all, make sure that you have all the necessary items available. This includes shovels, watering cans and buckets. If you have all this at your disposal, then the next step is to find people who will agree to help you in this difficult matter. This is where you can motivate people. We can say that this “attraction” will be able to please everyone in the yard, and not only children, but also adults will be able to ride it. You will see, after an hour of active searching, you will find like-minded people.
2. The people have gathered, all the necessary items for organizing the labor process are available, which means we can begin. First, collect a large pile of snow in one place. You can clean the area and dump all the snow in one place. So the benefit will be great, since you will help the wipers in this case, and you will be able to collect a large pile of snow in order to create a slide.

3. Compact the collected snow very tightly. The height of the snow slide should be such that it is comfortable for both adults and children to ride on it. It is important that it is very comfortable not only for children, but also for adults in this case. If the snow slide cannot be assembled, ask a person to snowblower Can I help you. I think that he will not deny you this pleasure.

4. Having poured a certain amount of snow onto the hill, and then compacted it, level its future descent. It is important that it is as smooth as possible, so manually, or using a shovel, remove all unevenness visible to the eye. Don't forget to make a step for your slide. Otherwise, how will you climb it? The steps should be as level and gentle as possible. This is very important if you want to keep your health and the health of other people safe and sound.

5. At the same time as leveling the slide, compact its edges so that it does not crumble at the first contact with your hand. It is best to make a low side along the edges of the slope, which will prevent you from sliding down the hill in the wrong place. IN in this case, this will help prevent all kinds of injuries when biting and climbing a hill. Be careful!

6. After the slide has already been formed, you can start pouring it! It is important that you stay on the street subzero temperature in the process of applying the final touch. It will be best if you water it at night. It is best to water from a watering can or bucket. But it’s better if you water the slide from a watering can, because it is this that will give the slide an even descent and create indelible impression from the process itself. Thus, by filling the slide at night, you will protect it from unauthorized persons. It’s unlikely that anyone would think of climbing a hill in the dark, much less riding it. After all, your neighbors are far from stupid people.
