Pasta is a real lifesaver for working mothers and wives: when there is no time to bother with a side dish, pasta will always come to the rescue. After all, it takes only 6-10 minutes to cook (depending on the variety), it does not need to be pre-cleaned, washed, etc., which greatly simplifies the task of preparing it. In addition, you can prepare many wonderful dishes from pasta, including those that can be found on the menu of cafes and restaurants. For example, pasta with shrimp in creamy sauce is a very impressive and tasty dish.

Despite its presentable appearance and excellent taste, it is prepared very quickly and simply. The most difficult thing is to peel the shrimp, and the cooking time is equal to the time it takes to cook the pasta: while the pasta is cooking, you can, slowly, prepare the creamy sauce. By the way, one of the ingredients of this sauce is hard cheese, and the combination of pasta with shrimp and cheese is very successful.

Garlic gives the creamy sauce a special piquancy: it practically dominates the dish, only creating an unobtrusive flavor nuance. I hope I've interested you? Then - go to the kitchen and cook!

Ingredients:

For 1 serving:

  • 150 g pasta;
  • 100 g shrimp.

For the sauce:

  • 1 egg;
  • 50 ml of heavy cream or sour cream;
  • 1-2 cloves of garlic;
  • 20-30 g hard cheese;
  • salt, black pepper.

How to cook pasta in creamy sauce with shrimp:

Let's start with the main thing - shrimp. I usually buy shrimp already salted, boiled, frozen. In order to prepare pasta with them, you need to first defrost and peel the shrimp. The fastest and easiest way to defrost shrimp is to pour boiling water over them and let them stand for a couple of minutes.

After this, the shrimp will be at room temperature, and you can safely remove the shell from them.

Let the pasta cook while it cooks. We have time to make the sauce. To do this, in a deep container in which it is convenient to work with a mixer, break an egg, add cream (or sour cream), grated cheese on a medium or fine grater, garlic passed through a press, salt and pepper. Separately, I want to dwell on cheese. This time I used Parmesan - of course, this sauce tastes best with it. But, if you don’t have Parmesan, feel free to take any hard cheese (“Russian”, “Gollandsky”, “Poshekhonsky”, etc.) - it will also work very well.

In the meantime, our pasta should be cooked. Place them in a colander to drain the water, and then either return them to the pan or place them in a deep plate (bowl, salad bowl, etc.). By the way, pasta doesn’t have to be spaghetti. I have prepared this dish with other types of pasta, and it always turns out delicious and beautiful.

Add shrimp to the pasta.

And pour in the creamy sauce.

Now mix the shrimp, pasta and sauce very quickly. Hot pasta will cause the cheese in the sauce to melt, and quick, vigorous stirring will prevent the egg from “seizing.”

Incredibly tasty and tender spaghetti with shrimp in creamy garlic sauce. The sauce and pasta are prepared separately and combined before serving, creating a rich taste and aroma. And, of course, the delicate creamy taste of the pasta complements the salty taste of grated Parmesan, which has become a classic addition to almost any Italian pasta. A pleasant addition to the dish is that spaghetti with shrimp is prepared as quickly and simply as possible; the entire cooking process will take no more than 20 minutes.

Compound:

  • Spaghetti – 300 g
  • Shrimp – 400 g
  • Cream (20%) – 0.5 l
  • Parmesan cheese – 50 g
  • Garlic – 4 cloves
  • Dried herbs (basil and oregano) - to taste
  • Salt - to taste

Preparation:

Peel the garlic and cut each clove in half lengthwise. Heat a little vegetable oil in a frying pan and add the garlic. You can use regular sunflower oil, olive oil, or a mixture of both. Fry the garlic in a frying pan until golden brown, and then remove it from the frying pan; the garlic has already given off its aroma to the oil and we no longer need it. Watch the garlic carefully so that it does not burn, otherwise our sauce will taste bitter.

Place pre-thawed shrimp in garlic oil and fry for 2-3 minutes if they are boiled-frozen, or for 7-8 minutes if they are raw. I used already peeled shrimp, but you can also use unpeeled shrimp by peeling them after frying.

The shrimp will release a lot of liquid during frying, leave this liquid in the pan and transfer the shrimp to a plate. Do not overcook the shrimp in the pan or they will become rubbery. Set the shrimp aside for a while, pour the cream into the pan and bring to a boil.

Add salt, pepper and spices to the boiled cream, and also add pre-cooked shrimp.

Stir the sauce and turn off immediately. While preparing the sauce, boil the pasta. To do this, pour water into a saucepan and boil it. When the water boils, add the pasta to the pan. Do not break the spaghetti, but place the whole thing in the pan, immersing only part of the pasta first, and when it softens, place the whole pasta in the water.

Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Place the finished pasta in the pan with the sauce and stir gently.

Shrimp pasta in creamy garlic sauce is ready, serve it hot, divide it into serving bowls and sprinkle with finely grated Parmesan cheese. Like any Italian pasta, spaghetti with shrimp is best served immediately after cooking, without heating, as heating deteriorates its taste.

Bon appetit!
